  1. Ross Stewart apparently failed a medical at Southampton?
  2. How did Brophy end up with half the penalty box to himself for the winner?
  3. I had a quick check on his history. He hasn't played less than 20 league games any season since he was a teenager.
  4. I surely can't be the only County fan reminded of the Brian Graham handball in this game? (At around 4:30)
  5. United probably favourites for Championship next year, but I'll likely be tempted to have a bet on Thistle. Three borderline VARs today (though all probably just about right) made such a difference. 3/1 or better would be well worth a bet - he does look like he knows what he's doing.
  6. 2-0 should be more than enough. It's only not enough if you wanted everything done and dusted tonight. As things stand, the better team, with the better manager, are already 2 ahead going to face a team who had 16 available outfield players tonight and now have 2 of them suspended.
  7. Kris Doolan sounds like he understands the modern game. Like there's a plan behind it all. Cue Malky Mackay coming on to discuss whether we were or weren't 'at it today'.
  8. When he came off on Sunday, they just carried on horsing it up as though he was still there
  9. Although they do at last realise they haven't a clue...
  10. Can I get a job at BBC please? Or just anyone who can count. Killie not safe by my reckoning.
  11. Don't think the late goal makes much difference. County still need to beat Killie. United need miracles.
  12. Nope, never heard of him. Maybe some youth squad at most. Click-bait headline.
  13. Can play as wing-back apparently. I'd guess that's the plan. If there is a plan.
  14. Would he count as a 'home-grown' player for Europe next season?
  15. Arguably our best ever yes, but the team in the first promoted season for me. Long unbeaten run after Sproule and Ikonomou arrived. Beat Celtic from 2 down. Could just have done with a Liam Boyce.
  16. If you're ever struggling to understand a County signing, look for their born-again Christian quotes https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/2147800/ross-county-inih-effiong-prison-jail-crazy-life-football-focus-behind-bars/
  17. Remember Inih Effiong? At the age of 31 he has now played for 20 different clubs.
  18. I thought what Robbie Neilson said tonight was interesting - "but against a physical team - they're physical specimens - you've got to double your effort" Why are they such physical specimens? I know everyone ripped the piss out of Strachan for saying we're too wee, but we seem to be too weak and too slow as well. How many players coming through the Scottish system are 'physical specimens'? That will be partly down to poor nutrition and disregard for sports science but I can't shake the feeling that the elite teams can pay enough to buy doctors' integrity and get Therapeutic Use Exemptions. Elite level sport is riddled with asthmatics.
  19. Memories of Stade de France fan park in 1998. Tom Boyd scored during that break....
  20. Ross County manager Malky Mackay: "It was a good win on a real hard-fought day, which we knew would be the case. Derek came with a physical, big team and we knew it would be a challenge. Sounds like County had been preparing for a real physical battle and a couple of players forgot that the laws of the game would still apply - retrospectively at least.
  21. Nope, that's the bit I'm talking about. If Irish team enters at Q1, wins 3 ties, then get knocked out in the play-offs, they get 2.5 points. If Scottish team enters at Play-off and gets knocked out, they too get 2.5 points. The Irish team would *not* get loads of extra points for winning in early rounds. And the Scottish team couldn't get less than 2.5 points.
