  1. No it didn’t, missing a dozen chances cost us.
  2. Many a true word is spoken in jest though. While the Morrison stuff is nonsense, Hamilton have certainly brought Akheem Rose to our attention. edited to add: and good to hear that Scott Martin is back in training.
  3. No don’t! We were just about to start fighting amongst ourselves before he distracted us.
  4. It was disappointing but I’m sure most adults can cut us a bit of slack. As for anyone who booed, dcb.
  5. A 4th stand isn’t simply sunk cost or whether or not we use the seats. As others have pointed out, it’d offer more revenue raising opportunities for the club and possibly reduce overall costs of what use on site. Again, a more strategic and joined-up effort from all stakeholders - including foundation and FC - would be best.
  6. Fantasy stuff, but I always liked the idea of an Airdrie-style pavilion where we could house a lot of the club facilities, dressing rooms (incl for the other putch), some hospitality, bars etc. Would bring a bit of character to the overall development too.
  7. Yeah fair point in the short-term (though not clear how it benefits the club - I’m sure we’ll hear more) though it all has to be considered in the round. It’s a big commitment for everyone involved, including the local taxpayer.
  8. That looks like where the car park or access to the car park will be for a future east stand.
  9. I’ll jinx nearly everything now but we’re the only unbeaten side in the SPFL and top scorers across all four divisions. Only the faded-blue arsecheek has conceded fewer, and only just. Get the Roy Castle gifs ready.
  10. This has a bit of a crisis feel about it. Is the Foundation effectively collapsing?
  11. Reading all that again, I think the Foundation has some explaining to do. It has effectively brought the club’s name into disrepute, carrying as it does our trademark and identity. While as BB points out, there was some bad luck with the coach leaving with a number of players, they seem not to have managed the situation at all well. We really can’t have that when the club is trying to rebuild.
  12. Just thinking, if there's to be a case that the women and girls' football operation is brought in-house, given the growing unease about the Foundation's performance, then having all the facts/figures would help. We shouldn't raise expectations without understanding that, but it certainly feels like the right thing to consider.
  13. This is a bit disturbing tbh. I remember before the Foundation days, we had a successful women's team that supplied internationalists. Given that the Foundation does take in a lot of community cash, I wonder why they don't fund this. Women's football remains the fastest growing sport in the world and is finally providing actually career opportunities for women now. We can't fall behind because of a lack of investment. BB - finger in the air - how much would it cost to run the team for a season *without* the players, coaches etc having to pay prohibitive fees? No-one will hold you to it, but it might focus minds a bit.
  14. The most effective form of protest is to take control your club and change things for the better.
  15. I hope we slip up and have to win against Cove.
  16. Right, I’m calling it. Short of Mad Vlad nuking Grangemouth before May, it’s ours. Bring on the Fifers* *not the grotty b*****ds who name themselves after the Jamboes. Hope we don’t have to return there outside cup games.
  17. Of the current first XI, we only need to get Yeats and a keeper. I can only guess plenty will be sniffing around Yeats. I still like Hogarth too - we’ve shipped a total of 15 league goals this season so I don’t want to be too harsh because of a couple of errors. What a position to be in though. Here’s us in February sucking our teeth over current bench players on loan from clubs at a higher level, players who do look very good. I like all three, FWIW, and see value in keeping the dressing room together. But the management team have shown how clear-eyed they can be.
  18. Yep, and it didn’t happen by accident. A whole club and support effort. And we need to persist. The plan has to be not to allow it to peter out. There’ll obvs be a time when we’ll stop going up the way, at least for a bit, but that doesn’t mean we chuck everything out, just that we keep making our club better and adjust where we must. For now though, I think we just enjoy it.
  19. F'cking EVERYONE join FSS now to pay for all this!
  20. Jeez that brings me out in hives. We almost went bust because of that misadventure and much of what happened since can be traced back to then.
