What worse Saints team have you seen beat a better Hearts team at Tynecastle?
http://www.stmirrenprogrammes.co.uk/StMirren/STM_Match_Details.php?Season=2006&GameID=200609090
our record is honking there but that’s a particular highlight! Your team was filled with much better players some internationals.
“Stewart Kean's late winner at Tynecastle stunned Hearts and allowed promoted St Mirren to draw level on points with their wealthy rivals. The 1-0 away win left Celtic clear at the top and saw Hearts slip down to third in the table.“

Has the rebuilding work started in Dundee yet?
Have you compared Govan to Dundee recently?

Eh morton have had some of scotlands best ever strikers
Was that during the miners strike?
Seriously. The last time Morten had a decent top flight goal scorer was Andy Ritchie in 78/79.
What happened after that?
Remind me.
What have Morten actually won with “scotlands best ever strikers” in the last 10,20,30…..90,100 years?

Can't see past a Hearts win, given they've just signed two new players and seem to have a couple of their injured players back.
If we could get Ayunga back, then I reckon him and Main could get some change out of their central defence.
Elsewhere, it all hinges on Gallagher being fit. If he is then we'll have more options regarding both defence and midfield.
I doubt that Strain will make it, as it looked as if he was in a fair bit of pain and groin injuries tend not to be the quickest to clear up.
Looks like our bench will consist mostly of our development squad.
Erhahon and Fraser need their arses kicked in particular.
The way I look at it we’ve seen worse Saints sides win at Tynecastle against better Hearts teams than this one.
I agree that the odds are stacked in Hearts favour on Friday. I would settle for a draw. We missed too many glorious chances on Saturday to take all 3 points.
What’s Stewart Kean up to these days? Was he a Hibs fan as he always seemed to raise his game against Hearts.
Best stadium in Scotland especially under the floodlights.

An apology would not go amiss for your comments on the last thread.

I take it the rule about a top level club not being allowed to share with a non-top level club disappeared when the SPFL came into being?
Celtic used Hampden?
Depends on what timeframe you define as the “SPFL” reorganisation.

What a privilege it has been to live to see Gareth Bale play football. What a fucking player he is. Well, was.
Aye but he is a good golfer by all accounts. This gives him more time to practice.

Harry Kane has won fewer medals than Jim Hamilton. Your argument is utterly void.

Aye, as above - in what world has Miller achieved more in England than Adams.
Has Adams ever been in a major domestic cup final in England or won a league playoff to get to to the EPL?
Miller has managed both.
The only honours Che Adams has won to date are
Oadby Town
Battle of Britain Charity Cup: 2012–13
Ilkeston
Derbyshire Senior Cup: 2013–14

Similarly bcc stands for Blind Carbon Copy. This means another recipient that the other recipients don't get told about.
Not sure how that worked in the old fashioned sense.
It was used by the secret service

Such a pish argument to be making
Not really. I don’t see how you can compare the two strikers given they played in two different eras.
There are too many football players that have very large amounts of money in the bank but have achieved zilch in their careers in terms of winning major honours.
Kenny Miller never ever let Scotland down as a player.
Miller achieved more as a player in England than Che Adams has done so far.
It’s all about opinions but at least KM has medals and trophies to show his kids and grandkids.

I am in the minority but I am not sure it happened as reported. With some of the dodgy dealings that have gone on ........
Yeah. That’s why I asked. It all seems a bit dodgy.

For any newer posters I thoroughly recommend reading through the P&B Gold threads for a very good crash course in the forum's history. Some truly excellent stuff.
Not enough new stuff goes into the gold section anymore. Think the mods have got rid of too many of the sites “controversial” posters.

Can't say I'm that arsed about these boxes being scrapped.
The artists impression looked extremely tin-pot to me, basically a shipping container with some seats bolted on to the top.
I'm sure they did say they had an agreement in place to rent one of them out which did surprise me, hopefully that sponsor will find another means of spending money in the existing hospitality set-up.
Agreed. But the club board explained it was an easy way to increase revenue and the figures all worked in the clubs favour.
Could we not rent out the dugout and get Brophy to bring out halftime pies and Bovril?

Timber prices in the uk have most definitely not returned to pre-covid prices. I know someone who has to buy in timber weekly much to their cost.
FTFY.
I have seen But was this not a metal box anyway?
How can costs double in 6 months?
It seems like mistakes have been made along the way.

Can I ask some questions. Apologies if already well documented.
Whatever happened to the £million pound fraud that took place?
Has that just been written off?

Ah, I could be wrong, but I thought I first heard mention of these about a year ago.
And I've had builders during 2022 telling me materials prices across the board were still sky high, mind you, they WOULD say that!
I agree that the idea of executive boxes has been around for a while.
However it was only made formal by Alan Wardrop in July 2022 at a SMISA meeting and follow up official email inviting clients.
To get as far as actually agreeing to a preferred solution and then signing commercial agreements with sponsors but then pulling the plug as costs have now doubled is not what I would class as professional.
