I don't think our Section N are trusted to be so close to away fans.  They're a rowdy wee bunch of laddies at times and the stands are awfully close.

All it takes is appropriate police or steward intervention.
These bodies are paid after all to deal with any offending.
It really is costing clubs revenue by closing off sections of the ground.
St Mirren fans sold out their allocation last Friday with many fans not able to attend. I’m sure Aberdeen were in the same situation.
Hearts then increase the cost of away match tickets to deal with the shortfall in seats. Then away fans start to boycott certain games as it’s too expensive. It’s madness.

  2. I’m sorry but decades of promotion-relegation-promotion-relegation struggles takes its toll.

There is part of me that still thinks that even this season St Mirren will be in the relegation mix after a monumental arse collapse.

There was only a short period in my lifetime from late 70s to early 80s when St Mirren were competing at the top 6 level on a regular basis despite what Top6 Tony has to say on the matter.

Despite all the emotional and financial challenges that annual “promotion-relegation”struggles brings to fan and club it’s actually more memorable than some of the seasons when we were consistently hitting European places.

Perhaps it’s because it’s more recent but last day survival against Motherwell 3-2 tops pumping Hearts 5-2 to get into UEFA Cup.

What I’m trying to say is that mid table mediocrity is all well and good when you can pop in on a Sunday morning to the “relegation express” thread and breathe a sigh of relief, but also because there is a part of you that misses that feeling of “oh fcuk we are really in the shit - can we survive?”

I will be happier when Saints get a few more wins under our belt, advance in the Scottish cup (hopefully this year with a bit of luck to the final), sell Baccus for £3M, get a %kickback when someone like Newcastle sign McGinn then I’ll feel a bit more comfortable with St Mirren life on and off the pitch!

Some people just don't know when to shut up.

    Someone should ban them.

I’d like to see the SFA, SPFL and Police Scotland deal with both sets of idiots.

Could you imagine the outrage if they were chanting racist or homophobic slurs each week?

    That's pathetic from Snodgrass.

However, it's even more pathetic from the referee.

Players should get retrospective yellow cards for that diving cheating pish.

I don’t know how players can do that and expect another professional player to take a yellow.

No difference I guess from what Colquhoun and Robertson used to do in a maroon jersey.

Baccus was a fcuking cheating b*****d on Saturday trying to “win” a penalty by diving.

Get this shit out of our game!

He was very racist in the Fleming novels. He hated Slavic people in general, and Bulgarians in particular. He thought black people had low intelligence, there were loads of racist comments and also homophobic phrases as well as weird things like believing that homosexuals couldn't whistle. And the misogyny obviously was quite legendary.

Aye but what fitba team did he support?

David Attenborough became controller and gave us many shows, Monty Python and The Old Grey Whistle Test to name but 2.

I loved the background to name of the OGWS programme once I found out why it was called that.

When it first came to my attention as a very young lad I thought it was just a late night edition of the sheepdog trials for auld dugs that the BBC used to broadcast.

I was later to find it produced some outstanding musicians.

    Great TV.
