  1. Probably wasn't even that long ago it was in the 600's. The attendance has massively improved in the short time we've been playing decent football, there was a time where i thought we had to get promoted to have a chance at hitting 4 digits. Which actually makes me quite optimistic that it will improve more in the coming years, especially if we get promoted.
  2. I believe for some reason they actually count as championship matches instead of league 1.
  3. If he hasn't convinced you since he's came in during the run in he probably never will tbf. I personally really like him as i think he reads the game well and is a good passer that knows when to keep it simple. Like our first goal against Edinburgh he wins the ball and delays the pass until the right time and gets the assist. One of those players that you probably notice more when they're not there.
  4. I find it funny now just because i don't really care about these last games before the play offs and would honestly rather finish 4th. I said to my mate i swear he has been nutmegged by his winger every game he's played this season, i think seeing his 1v1 success rate would be a good laugh. I think telfer would be a decent option to bring off the bench if we're trying to see out a lead and need a bit of calmness on the ball. But yeah wouldn't have him anywhere near the starting 11.
  5. I like him and i feel he has good potential but Euan Deveney's defending is comically bad at times.
  6. Yeah to be fair to Ian Murray he did try both approaches. 2 years ago we just went for keeping the momentum going but ran out of steam in the final, and the opposite tactic last year but unfortunately same end result. Hopefully this is the year we finally get it right.
  7. I hope the rumours are true about rae but in all honesty I'd be shocked if they were as the only reason he's here this season is that his move to carlisle broke down last minute.
  8. I'll never forget when we signed adam frizzell, Dumbarton fans saying he's a wasted jersey and i remember one of them going as far as to say he has the best agent in football. Crazy how a different coaching team can change a player so much.
  9. Pretty much everyone i know uses the flashscores app which uses last 5 as standard (although it does give you different options as well)
  10. No but without it we wouldn't have seen the queens park game
  11. For me this is a must win, we saw last year against montrose how important it is to have the 2nd leg at home.
  12. Don't agree tbh. No need to change a winning team and I'd argue in games like these it's even more important to have someone in control from the sidelines.
  13. Yeah i think we should give him a chance to form a partnership with fordyce until the end of the season because if he's able to put it all together with his physical attributes he could be really good for us. Also I'd rather 20 year old byrd make these mistakes than 28 year old Watson.
  14. Harsh considering how young he is and how much he's improved over the season imo, but yeah when he's off it he's REALLY off it.
  15. Sorry but if you believe that having a youth team is stopping us from going up i don't know what to say. It takes up minimal resources as they are all apprentices so can only really see an up side for it. If you think we should follow dunfermline's model then that would include having a youth team. All valid points aside from that although 3 of their back 4 last night was 23 or under so don't really think age is the issue for us and more with the way we are set up. To be fair to rhys it seems like he's moving away from focusing on playing the best football/ the right way etc. I think the way we set up against falkirk, dunfermline away does show to me that he is trying to get his team to grind out results as opposed to just playing expansive no matter what. Albeit still not found much success with it yet. For me at least, promotion was always going to be really tough with a new manager and much improved competition. What I'm hoping for (or at least what I'm telling myself) is that the management team are getting all the mistakes out the way this season so we can get it right next season.
  16. I do actually think he usually offers a lot on the ball in midfield but yeah similar to agnew last season he's basically a man down off the ball.
  17. Season's already over for me so not going to mention the obvious negatives from today. I know young Byrd struggled a bit at times today but in fairness was up against best striker in the league in his first start, i think he's shown enough potential that we should persevere with him as he gets match fit because i think if he just bulks up a bit he could be a really good player for us. Also thought Dean McMaster was easily our best player today when he came on. Certainly wouldn't be opposed to him starting next week and allowing McCabe to manage from the sidelines.
  18. Deveney's worst game in a long time for us. Think every good bit of play for them has came down his side.
  19. He's actually turned into a decent finisher, took his 2 goals against dunfermline really well. Also to be fair to him we were still winning when he got took off that game.
  20. Another factor that gets overlooked is the teams playing style. Heard a few players now say that the teams playing style is a big factor on if they decide to sign or not. Which would make sense considering the attacking players we have that have stayed. Equally it may be that some defenders would prefer to join a different team that's a bit more defensively minded to suit their game more.
  21. Yeah pretty sure he's doing some coaching behind the scenes so i think that's more his role in the team. I would would love byrd to get a chance, apparently he's really impressed in training.
