Youth internationals have been played at Firhill. International teams have trained at Firhill. The men's team have held open training sessions at Firhill. One game will not destroy the pitch.

It's hard to make a call this early in the season. They now have a run of five games against part-time teams when the picture should become a little clearer.

Thistle look to have made several shrewd signings. Lawton, McQuillan, Sinclair and Ferguson were standouts (alongside Cara Henderson, natch) and Kodie Hay delivered a few wicked crosses from the wing. Promising cameos by Robb and Munro, too.

No idea. But it felt like an unwelcome distraction from a Thistle perspective with alterations being made to the pre-season schedule to accommodate two competitive games. Seemed like a contrived attempt to shoehorn another Celtic/Rangers match into the season.
