  1. Although for the most a football fan I've always liked the respect for referee in rugby and their willingness to use video technology......but surely you shouldn't just be cautioning a player for punching another in the face.
  2. October 2010 Graham Wallace, said Manchester City planned to comply with the new Financial Fair Play regulations. Their strategy is to propel City to the top, make more money from the TV and commercial boost the Champions League avails and gradually bring wages down by replacing ageing galacticos with graduates of the academy, on which City are also spending a fortune. Player acquisitions on the scale we have seen in recent transfer windows will no longer be required in the years ahead, now that we have such a deep and competitive squad We expect our financial performance to position us to be compliant with financial fair play when the regulation starts to come in, states Wallace, formerly the chief financial officer for the sports media business IMG. Jesus Navas Seville £14,900,000 11 Jun, 2013 Stevan Jovetic Fiorentina £22,000,000 19 Jul, 2013 Alvaro Negredo Seville £20,000,000 19 Jul, 2013 Jack Rodwell Everton £12,000,000 12 Aug, 2012 Javi Garcia Benfica £15,800,000 31 Aug, 2012 Fernandinho Shakhtar £30,000,000 06 Jun, 2013 Gael Clichy Arsenal £7,000,000 04 Jul, 2011 Sergio Aguero Atl Madrid £38,000,000 27 Jul, 2011 Samir Nasri Arsenal £24,000,000 24 Aug, 2011 Edin Dzeko Wolfsburg £27,000,000 07 Jan, 2011 ....200 million pounds + later .....have we someone willing to say what is required to satisfy the authorities or maybe he believed what he was saying at the time. Time will tell.
  3. Quantum World Record Smashed. Disappointed ...I thought maybe The Rangers were in the running for another record when I saw the headline http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-24934786
  4. The actual ad say Rangers Football Club seeking Chief Executive STV reports ad is for CEO of Rangers International Football Club plc and the ad says send to the HR dept of Rangers Football Club Ltd Which one is it ? ...and they seem to have dropped the "The" which distiguished themselves from the liquidated entity
  5. “Both Walter Smith and Ally McCoist have spoken of the need to “cleanse” the club of all the rumour, speculation and innuendo. Innuendo...like this ?
  6. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/f...ist-im-2366046 Ally McCoist has revealed he was dismayed at Nikica Jelavic’s departure from Rangers – and is still upset at the paltry fee commanded by Craig Whyte. “Every penny we had went in to him when we signed him from Rapid Every penny they had? ...and quite a few pennies they didn’t have either as at liquidation they still owed Rapid £975,000 http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-agree-deal-rapid-vienna-1721573 And having put every last penny into Jelavic, Ally then found more pennies to loan El-Hadji Diouf and Bartley then buy Bocanegra £400,000, Bedoya £300,000, Wallace £1,496,000, Goian £440,000 and Ortiz 400,000 + several others Knowing he had spent every penny they had on Jelavic and that he alone had a salary of about £800,000 (or there abouts... who reads these contracts) did he not wonder where the money came for the rest?
  7. Oh for heaven's sake...just when I thought I'd got the names straight.... Rangers, The Rangers Football Club ltd, The Rangers Football Club Plc, Rangers FC Group Limited, RFC 2012 plc, Sevco 5088 Ltd, Sevco Scotland Ltd, The Rangers Football Club Plc, The Rangers Football Club Ltd Ending on Rangers International Plc owns the The Rangers Football Club Ltd which runs The Rangers Just let him join... "The board" of the "Club" or "the board" of the "Club" or "The board" of the "Company" or "the board" of the "Company" No wonder no one knows whos' paid what or what money goes where.
  8. Frankly doesn't surprise me one bit. Fascinating place where 50% ate their penguin biscuits in the order blue, red, yellow, green where the other 50% did the exact opposite green, yellow, red , blue. (before they altered 'em) 1980's saw 50% buying blue or red Rucanor bags while the remainder went for green or black and trainers... same split.... blue badminton or green squash.
  9. Is a manager's salary of £825,828 a World Record for a lower tier team? Longest list I can find shows top 30 earners from last year and none of those listed down to a figure of just over £1million seem to be outwith their top league.
  10. So if they can't give the money to the club because they're not the bit that deals with the money ( just use it to buy and pay players and to a larger extent their management team ) what happens to that cash? Presumably split between the other 11 clubs....sorry split between the companies running the other 11 clubs ? Surely it was one pot which they can't just keep 1/12th of because one member is dead. Does someone get to keep 1/4 of the Beatles money or 1/5 of Boyzone's royalties?
  11. No No No I'm absolutely not having that.....just lost a mouthful of tea you swine. Monsieur Xavier Bigot ..... presumably pronounced Mr Save Yer Bigot No No No
  12. YASSSSSS !! Well done The Ton ....Well done ....Terrific stuff Night to put rivalry aside......Great to see a result like that....enjoy the night and the big smile all day tomorrow.
  13. 25 corners...they'll have to returf at the corner flags after tonight. 5 minutes ....hold....hold...HOLD
  14. 'Mon the 'Ton .....hope you hold out for the next 20 minutes or however long the ref adds
  15. Nothing funny or particularly 'fitting' about that image of a child close to death. Misjudged and over the line that any decent human being would consider humerous in any way.
  16. Latest odds on who will will get their hands on the ashes first England 5/4 Australia 9/4 Winnie Mandela 1/3
  17. Believe I read that Nadal's absense means for several GS The French & Wimbledon depending on Ferer and Rafa, Rafa may not make top 4 meaning that with the fortunate side of the draw he could avoid all 3 before a Final. Was an article on BBC with Lendl today. Ferrer just 100 behind Nadal http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/21964642
  18. 6-4, 6-3 2 wins away from the World Number 2 spot..that could prove useful at the next couple of Grand Slams
  19. The Rangers down by a goal after 90 minutes at Stenhousmuir in next year's title battle.... win a corner and substitute on Lee McCulloch in a pair of these to head home the equaliser from 11 feet in the air. ......"Ahh but the SFA haven't specifically written no Kangoo Boots."
  20. Aside from the accountancy sleight of hand stuff explaining one-off items, football debts, cost of IPO, ground being worth 5x more again etc. £7m loss is in addition to all those costs. £22 million raised in flotation ? 20 games @ £10 x 46,000 is aver £9 million pounds That's £31 million pounds in and he posts a £7 million loss.
  21. From what I take from the document Rangers PLC (company) were members of the SFA while Rangers FC (club) were the members of the SPL Newco (company) was not admitted to membership of the SPL but Newco (company) has become an associate member of the SFA. So I can understand why Rangers FC (club) would keep SPL titles (as they were members of the SPL) but any Scottish Cup involvement and League titles prior to setting up of the SPL surely belong to the members of the SFA which was the soon to be liquidated Rangers PLC (company)
  22. I know BBC are hugely biased towards anything Liverpool but surely they can't just claim a different result......who do they think they are Charles Green?
