Why does Irn Bru taste so much better when consumed out of a glass bottle than, say, a can or plastic bottle?

There must be a scientific explanation.

Are the glass bottles not the only ones still only made in Scotland? That's why

Think so. AFAIK the glass ones are made at Cumbernauld and the plastic down south. Different water = different taste.

It's the same with Coca Cola. Tastes far better from glass bottles. Costs a shitload more as well :(

I love ducks (not in that way) but hate swans. 

 

Went camping up at Loch Lomond a few years ago. As it was a lovely warm day, we put our carryouts in the loch to keep them cool. Two swans swanned in and basically plonked themselves right beside our booze. Any time one of us approached to get a can, they started rearing up and hissing at us. 

 

It was hours before they got bored of their little game and buggered off.
