Quick Question Thread

I think maybe I will then. If you're on a 24 month contract will o2 just keep it running minus the money I was paying for the handset or will my phone just stop being able to make calls etc?

With Vodafone, I needed go in (perhaps could have done it by phone) and change to sim only deal. I got stung a few years back, c***s just kept charging the same amount even though the contract had finished.

Where am I "from"?

Iv always been confused on how to answer this, these are the options;

Born in Fife, it says Kirkcaldy on my birth certificate, although I have never actually been there as the home I was taken to from the hospital near Kirkcaldy was St Andrews.

Moved from St Andrews at the age of 4 to Tayport.

Moved back to St Andrews at the age of 6. (Mum and Dad's Divorce)

Moved up to Aberdeen aged 8.

Moved to the Oban aged 14 (This is where the family is from).

Moved back to Aberdeen aged 16

Left Aberdeen for Aberdeenshire aged 30.

Am I from Fife? But where?

Am I from Aberdeen because I have lived here longest?

Or am I from Oban as its where my families roots are?

Long questions thread for this pish. Just go with wherever you sound like your from. It saves the secondary "you don't sound like you're from there?" question and you having to tell the whole story again.

2 good points there.

1) It did end up being a long question, sorry.

2) I sound like an Aberdeonian.

And none of those many places is the East End of Glasgow.

That's unfortunate but probably easiest just to go with that. Unless you're happy to give the back story regularly...

No, thats why I had to ask, its quite a long back story, the benifit being if someone thinks Aberdonians are arseholes, I can always say "Im not from Aberdeen"
