Quick Question Thread

Snax! Great shout. I didn't know it was still going. Used to pop in there for a greasy breakfast to kill the hangover when I was at uni. It was also one of the few places in Scotland that had mayo as an option for chips. Possibly because there was a Dutch guy who worked there. Their bacon and fried egg rolls were superb.

I have awoken in Edinburgh after a wedding and have a few hours to kill before my lift home. Where's good for a smashing big fried breakfast?

If you want a real greasy big fried breakfast, head for your nearest Wetherspoons.

My other half has 2 loans out with RBS currently. Would this have any impact on her changing her current account through the switch process to another bank?

In case you don't get more informed replies, my guess is that so long as she's not fallen behind in repayments and her wages will go straight into her new account, there will be no problem. She could arrange an appointment at a branch of the bank she wants to switch to, to discuss it. They might even offer a wee bribe if she's been well behaved. Customers who have loans but keep to the repayment schedule are like pollen to a bee.

How does tiredness work in terms of when it comes and goes during the day. Twice today including once about half an hour ago I felt so utterly fucked that I couldnt keep my eyes open. Now I feel fairly normal again. How come?

The bus driver literally has to wake me up at my stop on the way home from work, and sometimes on the way there too, which is never a good start to the day.

By the time I'm going to bed, my brain's decided it's time for an I, Claudius marathon. f**k you, brain.

I take it you are doing a loft conversion?
Not entirely. Just getting a few things changed in the loft.
Needed a new window and want two brick walls to be covered up with insulation and plasterboard.
Already got a Ramsay ladder put in and loft floor done.
Just making most of the space I have got for storage for now

I’m wanting to do a loft conversion and make it into an en-suite bedroom but have no idea how much it would cost. Would need a staircase but in and would need to sort the trusses out so it wouldn’t be a cheap job.

We looked at this and I got a friend of the family who is an architect to come up and measure it all and see what like for adding stairs and for what it was worth the cost was way out my budget
So instead able to do it in stages .
Summer will get new lights fitted in and the ceiling done

I have no idea what it would cost, maybe about £20k was my bet. Would add more than that to the property value tho.

We could all muck in Amish Barn Raising style to help you out, don't ask Grimm though.
