Hedgecutter
Should we have a sub-forum for Cycling ? There is two cycling threads on the first page. Surely as a matter of consistency, unionist Div should add a sub-section for the sub-human death merchants ? If there's going to be another sub-forum then it should be for travel IMO. There's a whole pile of 'lost' threads on individual cities / countries which could be moved into that to make our very own P&B TripAdvisor.

Gaz
I was talking about hire purchase with my second-years earlier, and I mentioned that some people used to call hire purchase taking something out on tick. This provoked great hilarity - apparently on tick is West Lothian code for some kind of drugs. Never heard of it despite the fact I live less than half an hour away. Anyone else heard of this?
mikebhoy123
think you're spot on Gaz - but I suppose that nowadays where there is not so much HP ( or as yer granny would call it - Tic ) it's not so much of a common expression.... However I remember some people I used to knw ( ahem ) would get hash on credit ( until giro day ) and that would be referred to as tic..... But I suppose that was the only context the word would ever be used in.... So that's all some people would associate it with...

banana
I rent through a private landlord, is there any way I can get out of this early? Yes, talk to your landlord about getting out early. Might lose your deposit or have to find someone to take over the lease.
Cardinal Richelieu
I need to choose a new job title... I'm swithering between e-Learning Consultant and e-Learning Specialist. Which sounds better?
mikebhoy123
Consultant sounds better..... Definitely ! Note - This consultation ( in my new role as occupation definition consultant ) will cost you £75... Cheques payable to mikebhoy please
Cardinal Richelieu
Chortle. The cheque's in the post. I won't actually be charging for my services, but you're right - consultant sounds better. Not quite sure what the inverted commas mean Mozza, but tbh, I don't consider myself to be that much of a specialist in the field. Beats my last job title anyway (Academy Champion), which sounds like an award you give to kids to make them feel wanted.
11thHour
Anyone in here know anything about aerials? I dont have a sky box upstairs so need to wire an aerial into the 3 bedrooms, there is a wire up the loft which is wired down into the main bedroom but I need to get it to go to the other two bedrooms as well. How would I go about doing this, what kind of aerial would I need and would it get a good enough signal up the loft?

In relation to this, how does one acquire a job as a Jargon Creator?
Cardinal Richelieu
In relation to this, how does one acquire a job as a Jargon Creator? Er, no idea. I'm guessing that you'd have to invent a lot of TLAs. Every organisation has hundreds of TLAs.
Bert Raccoon
Will there be a P&B Beer Advent Calendar this year? Looking back it only reached the 7th last year so it would be good to see it out to the 25th. I think we can all agree that this is one of the more pressing matters being discussed in this thread.
