He’s looked good, the injury is not the sort that tends to cause any difficulty for return to form, and if he is very good next year and we don’t get promotion this year or next, we could get a pretty penny for him. He’s looked comfortable here and surely would not be opposed to showcasing his wares with the Rovers again, especially if we made an informal agreement to not block a movement to a high level gig. It isn’t always easy to back players up, but they remember it, and other players notice it. This could be a chance to secure Frankie for at least another year to partner Bene, and be mentored by Berra.
