Rover1990
Luke Mahady has joined Cowdenbeath on loan until January. Good move for him.
pub car king
That's promising, he should hopefully get first team games and at that level he can build up his physicality and get used to players trying to shove him off the ball.

Suggests he won’t get enough time at Stark’s Park to allow them to decide if they want to sign him to a regular contract, with his Apprenticeship ending In June. Has seen very little opportunity to play compared to Arnott and Coulson, and was likely to sit behind Keatings/Vaughan/Poplatnik, so a good move for both us and him. I’d expect to see Bow potentially loaned until January as well.

I guess there aren’t many restrictions.

Hank Scorpio
Be surprised if he goes there and displaces Buchanan or Renton up front.

Unfortunately sums it up. He’s a big lad, and despite lacking stature last year we very seldom gave him any playing time. That being said, he’s spent the last year practicing with players who will have passed on valuable lessons and insights, so perhaps he’ll be useful to you.
baillieinleeds
If given the chance, he’ll do fine at Cowdenbeath. He’s a big lad, just needs the minutes.
Brashy's Boots
Mind you, if he turns out to be really decent and is banging them in, we reserve the right to come back and get him.

TxRover
Interesting lineup tonight: Is it a 4-2-1-3, 4-3-3 or 4-2-4? Damn we need a mid or two.

We weren’t particularly productive with that formation on Saturday, and previous to that we had Vaughan and Keatings up top together, and showed some nice push forward. 1 forward was a ball and chain last year, I certainly hoped to see a bit more attacking nous this year. Now, having said that, we’ll probably shell them.

That would have almost certainly been a defeat in previous years as we don’t beat teams in this cup.

Last season we were very seldom in any position to deploy any of our younger players to get experience, especially after the first go around the league. We won by more than one goal once in March and April, and six times between late October and February. After Duku cooled off we ground out wins and draws. We played acceptably versus Cowdenbeath, but very nearly ended up with a draw for all the good work we did because we showed little threat.
