You actually got the impression he'd never seen any of the films, it was like he meant to write "Batman" in his form and just messed it up. His general knowledge was okayish to be fair

Short term, aye, but we’ll see how the pieces fall come January. Re names being wrong, it rips my knitting when Josh Mullin becomes Josh Mullen. Presumably because folk just convince themselves that’s what it should be? Seemed to be worse last season when Ross Millen was still at the club. Millen is on the TV right now. Playing for a rancid Morecambe side.

Any player with a smidgen of common sense won't come out with stuff like that. Just setting themselves up for ridicule if they don't deliver.

You crossed from wide with hoping he gets his hair cut so he doesn't get it pulled, then rattled it home with he doesn't give much away. I think you've got silly pretty much taped.

CountryBumpkin
With Ben McAdam leaving I assume that our Inside Matchday content has just stopped? A real shame as that was an excellent little Monday video. Edited September 24 by CountryBumpkin

Varna Rover
was rather hoping we would announce a new striker today but maybe tomorrow or before the 30th
Jan Vojáček
I've just sat and watched that whole interview with Fankaty Dabo, and it's great. I can't exactly say what it is about it, but he seems so genuine and humble. Intelligent too. I found myself being totally gripped by it, when normally I skip through bits of an interview. Especially new signing ones which tend to be dull as hell (and trust me, I've done a lot of them at DFC!) He looks like a guy who needs a manager/club to give him a hug and make him feel appreciated again. I absolutely loved hearing him talking about how his dad would be getting involved with your supporters club down south, and leaving London at 5am to drive up for games to watch him. There's a bit too where the interviewer asks what fans can expect from him, and he just says 'a nice fella'. Class.

Tomi Adeloye is free albeit had surgery at the end of the season and may need time to get match fit. Good record at Partick and is fast and direct. I'm still surprised Gabby McGill is free. Kerr McInroy is also still free although not a striker is an attacking midfielder which could then mean Pollock playing on the right.

He does seem very comfortable with who he is and was an easy interviewee to listen to. Like you say loads of them are the same old clichés and a lot of players are useless in front of a camera. Reminds me of the Frankie Musonda signing, coming up from England perhaps woth something to prove but a better CV.

Are they setting too high an expectation? Or are they not really that fussed and been happy to take some time out and enjoy a summer holiday?
grumswall
I'm wondering if the dabo signing is one Collins has brought to the table. I'm sure we've previously heard that our scouting network wasn't quite as wide as that. Hopefully a striker can come from that if it is the case.
