Who's Going To Uni?

Odds on they were all VLs.

Haha, aww definitely. They were huddled round completely kitted out in Topman gear, and just looked pleased that they were in a group of more than 2. Absolute bellends. My mate is living in halls this year and has ended up with a few 1st years in his flat. He got invited to a 'toga party' last week by the folk living next door to him. Up there with one of the gayest things I've ever heard.

Can sense a bit of projection coming through in this post.

How much did you get fined for that?!

If I recall, we had to split the cost of the window 50/50 (the throwee refused to go out to the ambulance until we'd shaken hands on a 50/50 split), so that was I think £90+, plus I think it was a £40 fine or something.

Sure this came up before, it wasn't even a good movie as I recall. I'd excuse smothering someone to death for talking through blade runner but I think it was Free Willy 3 or something!

I can't actually recall the film!

Eta, yes I do! It was US Marshalls!

Sounds pretty wacky tbh. I remember when I was in first year (four years ago now) I showed up to a guy I knew from school's flatwarming and everyone there was in a "toga". Apparently the text I had believed was a joke was serious. Ended up seeing someone hoover a sleeping person's face before they set off the fire extinguisher at 5am so it turned into a semi dece night tbh.

All the Freshers week stuff just ended up annoying the f**k out of me but that's because I'm a grumpy b*****d mature student :-)

Getting harassed by the Cancer Research girl was a real low point. When I said I had no change ( genuinely as I only just got £10 from the ATM) she basically ordered me to come back with some. Telling a charity collector to f**k off? nobody comes out of that with any credit at all.

The course is going well so far, not really started but got most of the important stuff set up and working.

Manned a Fresher's stall for the first time today, actually quite enjoyed it. Ended up acquiring a Yes Scotland and a Better Together pen, started giving the Yes pen to people with Better Together badges/stickers and vice versa just to be contrary.

First time I've ever spent much time at a Fresher's Fair, mainly shocked by the sheer number of far-left political groups Glasgow has. Marxists, Socialists, Trotskyists, Socialist workers and one which just had a huge poster criticising Tory 'Scum'. I got the impression they really despise each other, almost felt like there were the People's Front of Judea alongside the Judean People's Front.

I saw that poster, what a bunch of absolute weirdos those left wing groups are. I only went down there for the free food, can't say I found any of the societies to be particularly appealing.

Is someone off here involved with the Lib Dems at Glasgow? Fairly certain I recognised a guy at the stall from a picture off here but I forget which poster it was.

That would be me!

Was he handing out Better Together leaflets?

Nope. Not a single BetterTogether leaflet dispensed from my stall. :D
