Ad Lib
When I lived in Aberdeen, I remember several times people being allowed to go home if they lived outside of the city. For those that know Aberdeen, several of the people who left early to "beat the weather" lived in Dyce. FFS Just about fair enough if someone lived in Dunecht or Ellon or something like that, but DYCE? If I were your company's manager, they'd probably get sacked just for living in Dyce.

These people all drove. I had a longer journey than any of them, and yet I didn't live far enough away to be allowed home early.
An Sionnach
One of my colleagues at Aberdeen Airport made a sincere plea to go home early because of the snow and lack of flights. She lived in Dyce. She actually got laughed out the office and went home in a huff anyway! Edit: I don't suppose it helped that the boss lives in Elgin. ShakehandsTom - DFC
I'd have thought there would be a whole department of Edinburgh City Council set up to deal with you. There may well be,but i think they are on their hols. Still i love them really, they give me a purpose in life. They are probably on sick leave due to being so exhausted du to the large volume of work you have provided for them on various matters. Eh?? I'd love the job of testing the ice to see if it was safe to skate on!

ShakehandsTom - DFC
How would you test it Shakey? Just launch myself onto the ice, and from the results, I could provide a test certificate stating that the ice was safe, or, erm... otherwise. Would be a very cool job though.

ShakehandsTom - DFC
Klinsmann stylee? Yeah, I reckon that'd be suitable. I could test the durability of the ice that way.
