Caron Keating. Agreed she was a total wid but as you say died of breast cancer.

I fear @Cosmic Joe is unlikely to be competing in the 2023 Dead Pool.

I did in 2019 or was it 2020?, but saw too many people die in the pandemic. I've given it a pass recently.

Death wasn't really my point there. More the casual sexism that is still kicking around.

Casual sexism is rife on P&B.

"Total Wid".

but

"Died of breast cancer"

Lord have mercy

Unless I've been misunderstanding over the past few years, 'wid' is P&B speak for 'She is a very attractive lady'. My point was that Caron Keating was indeed a beautiful woman who sadly is no longer with us. What's the problem with that?

Is it not a reference to if you would like to pump someone. It's probably just me, but I find stuff like that a bit dated. Like builders wolf-whistling at passing women.

Same with the term burd, which I wince at everytime I read it. Belongs in the 1970s to me.

Probably a personal gripe.

It’s a a strange thing that whilst racism and homophobia is almost universally frowned on these days sexism is still seen as acceptable.

I’m probably guilty of it myself on occasion but in an ironic way.
