I spent 4 hours washing, t-cutting, and polishing the car today. It's guaranteed to rain tommorow now.

I wonder if this would help to keep cars cleaner for longer.

Why would anyone take four hours of their weekend doing this? Take it through a car wash, or as I do, don't take it through a car wash.

Have you ever had to t-cut a car to get scratches out? It's not a 5 minute job.

I believe you are missing Granny's point.

Whether that is deliberate or not is for you to answer and not for me to speculate upon.

I don't believe scratches carry much currency on this forum...

Scrambling and Seething might get noticed though...?

I watched Skyfall on Box Office last night. Never went to the cinema to see it and kept well clear of the thread on here so I didn't spoil it for myself.

Whilst it was a great film, I was left feeling a little disappointed that the main aim of the film was not some bad guy trying to take over the world, or trying to steal hunners of money. Just didn't feel like a real Bond without that.

I haven't seen Skyfall yet actually, but while it's Daniel Craig as Bond, it won't feel like a real Bond, for me.

He doesn't have the same charm or class as the likes of Moore, Brosnan or of course, Connery for the role as far as I'm concerned.

I think they picked Craig due to Jason Bourne. The Bourne Collection took off between Die Another Day and Casino Royale, so the makers probably felt that the public wanted their Bond less comical and more brutal.

I'd still watch it though mate, it was very good, I just found it quite unique in the sense that the bad guy isn't after world domination.

I didn't enjoy it at all. I felt it was overly long which gave it a feeling of plodding along, had too much product placement to be taken seriously and had a very dull ending in my opinion.

It reminded me a bit of The Dark Knight, in that the villain was just concerned with showing everyone how easy it is to create chaos.

With the exception of the earlier Connery films every Bond has been filled to the brim with product placement. I didn't think Skyfall was any worse for this than, say, Moonraker.

Agreed: (don't open following if you haven't seen film, you've been warned)

The revenge against M should have been a diversion for loading up the space station with nukes and bombing China or blackmailing for squillions. If he just wanted to be nasty to M he really didn't have to try to crash a tube train on to Bond's head.

Moonraker isn't one of my preferred Bond's either as it happens. I accept that product placement happens, I just get pissed off when it's in an otherwise serious movie / scene. Plus the dialogue in Skyfall was chronic at times. I really expected more from it than it delivered. I kept expecting Skyfall to get exciting, then I thought it had finally reached the exciting part when

Bardem broke out and went running through the underground, but the "proper" ending in the highlands left me bored and underwhelmed

It isn't one of mine either. Its is, however, very heavy on the product placement (I remember very large 7-up billboards just happening to be wherever bond was in that film). I'm not sure there is a later Bond that isn't. I may be wrong. I agree with you on Skyfall though*. You Only Live Twice will never be bettered in my opinion.

*The villan's island hideout was classic bond though and a great location, made all the sweeter for me by having visited there last summer. I had no idea at the time it was in Skyfall so came as a complete surprise.
