Salvo Montalbano
Major News! Pinot's Tour looks done. Seems to be a muscular problem, in the 1st 10 Km, had strapping taken off by doc's car. Must have been applied by his team physio, but by the pain on his face it looks terminal, cycling without any team mates just now as the gap to the peleton opens. 3 mins & growing. Gutting for him, but as soon as they hit the first major climb he went back to the medical car. Awful viewing. Looks like he was in tears there.

His lack of attack yesterday, considering his form in the Pyrenees, it must have been an underlying problem, that the team were well aware of. He's just climbed off in tears, in what was probably his best chance. So sad.
kiddy
Was it not Pinot who shut down Thomas attack yesterday, as the Welshman tried to jump to Bernal?
kiddy
Quote According to his FDJ team, two days ago he banged his knee heavily and has been riding with the injury. Definitely throws things in Ineos direction. Do Kruijswijk or Buchmann have the ability to attack the other GC contenders & isolate Alaphilippe?
jaggyness
Gutted for Pinot. After the giro last year and looking imperious in the Pyrenees would have been delighted to see him win it. As has been said, probably won't get a better chance

Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
He would have lost more on the final climb anyway.
well fan for life
Reckon he'd have made a dent in the gap on that descent but Bernal looked like he'd have ragdolled everyone in the race up that final climb. What a wild day.
NEFarab
Just when I thought we might get a non-sky/ineos winner too.

peasy23
Still waiting on them sorting out the timings, but they have declare that they will use the timings at the top of the Col d'Iseran to work out the standings. No choice but to abandon the stage tbh, seems there was a landslip on one part of the road.
Salvo Montalbano
Will Bernal get the 8 bonus seconds and then the 10 second bonus for winning the stage?

Possibly the 8 seconds but I don't think he'll get the final 10 second bonus as they have ruled that there was no stage winner.
