kiddy
Carapaz at 49 off Roglic. It's going to be about 45 secs covering the first 3!
kiddy
Roglic leads GC Carapaz at 39 secs, Carthy 47. Dan Martin at 1.42. Mas at 3 mins+ Edited November 3, 2020 by kiddy
kiddy
Without bonus, Carapaz would be at 13 secs & Carthy 15. They should do away with the bonus seconds. That's why the photo finish is there, at the line, & the stopwatch on the TT.
jaggyness
Well, close enough to ensure that it remains incredibly interesting for the remaining 4 competitive stages. Lots of interest to see if ineos or EF want to try and gang up on JV on the rolling stages the next few days to gap Roglic
jaggyness
Another Sky original, Ian Stannard, forced to retire through rheumatoid arthritis. Lot of the big engines gone from Ineos with him and Kiriyienka. Good job they've discovered Ganna.

kiddy
Roglic all but guaranteed the GC by taking an extra 6 seconds bonus, by finishing 2nd y/day. Carapaz & Carthy require him to bonk, big style, to have any chance of the win.

Gnash
Well done to Carapaz and Carthy for giving it a real go and making it exciting.

That's why the photo finish is there, at the line, & the stopwatch on the TT. Just to further elaborate on this. Can't say Roglic didn't deserve it after winning 4 of 18 stages (in all likelihood), but, without time bonuses, Carapaz would have won the vuelta
kiddy
How to go round La Vuelta 2nd fastest & still win. They need to bin these time bonuses. Roglic is actually 8 secs slower than Carapaz & only 10 in front of Carthy. It was the same at le Tour until he got found out on the ITT.

printer
Another tremendous Grand Tour; Carapaz and Carthy were both brilliant. Having the strongest team was key for Roglic, but congrats to him for bouncing back from the disaster at the Tour. I really liked that he went over to Carapaz just after he crossed the line. It was a nice moment between the two of them. Going to really miss the cycling for the next two or three months. Just hope it starts on time next year.
