Don't say Eurosport have cut away from the Giro trophy presentation for a motorbike race? It hadn't even been presented!

Not yet they haven't.

Would have been unforgivable if they had but not the 1st time they'd done it..

James Knox of Quickstep was 14th in the Giro GC.
Ben Swift was a superb18th, beating many specialist climbers!

Swift kinda got put in the shade by Dennis' efforts in the final week but what a giro he had.

It was great to see Dennis return to form. Just think of how much time Ineos would gain in a GT with a TTT.

Next year they'll have Ganna, Dennis, Thomas, Porte, Carapaz, and Kwiatkowski. TGH, Adam Yates and Castroviejo are decent TTs too.

Bernal's no slouch on an ITT either.

Just watched La Vuelta highlights. JV claiming Roglic had trouble with getting his jacket on during the last descent. He looked frozen & shivering when interviewed.
Kuss lost nigh on 10 mins don't know about the rest of their squad. Bennett his closest team mate, but out the top 10.

Strange one to pick out, no?

I'm glad Geoghegan Hart won, if only because Tao is a slightly less atrocious name than Jai.

Knox has only been a WT pro for two years. He was 11th in the Vuelta last year.

I think that, like TGH, Knox has got lots of potential and will get even better.

Hugh Carthy has had a good year too.

Slightly harsh. Samitier was 'team leader' for what was, admittedly a relatively weak Movistar team at the giro. As such he wouldn't have to do a lot of the domestique duties that Knox would.
I wasn't meaning it as disrespect to Knox. You could also argue that as team leader there was far more pressure on Samitier. I think "not that different" is accurate. I was just wondering why Knox in particular had been picked out.

Presumably Knox was picked out as he is young and British?

Eh, no. Tenuous links like that are embarrassing, unless he had ridden for Scotland before. As much as claiming Froome & Wiggo are British. Yates & TGH are English, Thomas is Welsh.
