Miguel Sanchez
Fingers crossed for a better buying experience this week. Ed - never mind, Gigs in Scotland presale comes through. Might have worked better if they'd mentioned this in the email subject I ignored two days ago, then didn't have them fourteenth in the billing in the actual email. Ah well, I have a ticket and that's all that matters. Edited May 30 by Miguel Sanchez

betting competition
Gaz Coombes playing Aberdeen on Saturday 2nd November at Cafe Drummonds. Gig sold out in just over an hour. Surprised he is playing there than the lemon tree or the tunnels, I think Drummonds is a horrible venue for bands!

Craig fae the Vale
Just booked for Punks in Paisley for the start of August. Headlined by The Kimberly Steaks, with Bad Year, Low Level Monks and Exotic Animals also on the bill. £7 for a ticket, can't beat that for value.
Craig fae the Vale
Glasgow rock band In Charge playing the first Sunday Sesh at Line of Defence Records this afternoon. Really good set from the band, who could apparently be heard all the way at the other end of Dumbarton High Street. Inn Defence is a cracking wee place, great people, great coffee and great food. Will definitely be back, the Sunday gigs are hopefully going to be a regular thing. Edited June 2 by Craig fae the Vale

Wee joke about Edinburgh folk at the end of the set - have you not got second homes to go too. Mind you, he ripped into the Tories, so all was fine.
ford prefect
Yeah he never misses the Tories. At a previous Glasgow gig he asked if he could stay up here. "As long as you're not a Tory" was the reply. "I'm a steel workers son from Sheffield, what do you fucking think?"
aDONisSheep
Just booked my tickets to see The Wedding Present at Shepherds Bush in October... I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl! It's the 35th anniversary of their album Bizarro, that they are going to play in its entirety, with other stuff thrown in (including some Cinerama stuff allegedly). They are possibly my favourite band. Yours, have you lost your love of life? Too much apple pie. aDONis Edited June 4 by aDONisSheep

Alan Sparhawk was one half of Low and probably who I’m most excited for - he’s done solo instrumental stuff before as well as a band without Mimi (the other half) called Retribution Gospel Choir. Interested to see whether he’ll be doing any of that or if he’s managed to write a load of new stuff.
