KnightswoodBear
I've just won two tickets to go see The Twang tonight at the Barras from Rock Radio. WOOT!
kullibino
I've just won two tickets to go see The Twang tonight at the Barras from Rock Radio.WOOT! I presume 'WOOT' is some sort of term to show your displeasure? I saw The Twang supporting James in May before I'd ever heard of them or heard them and they were possibly the worst livew band I've ever seen. Their recorded stuff ins't exactly my thing but its a big improvement.
KnightswoodBear
They're OK, it was more to show my pleasure that I'd won something for the first time in my puff. I was at the James gig too, and whilst I wasn't blown away, they do have a Happy Mondays feel about them.
FilthyMack
Pigeon Detectives on Tuesday, I think it is, at the Raigmore. Not sure how the singer will cope in there with all his leaps of the drum kit an' that. But if the fans are on we might get a decapitation!
supermac
The Twang were decent last night but the amount of beer-throwing, especially AT the band, is reaching intolerable levels. Just drink your fcking drinks!!

Just drink your fcking drinks!! That was bang out of order. The band got skelped numerous times. FFS I stood for 20 mins to buy two warm cans of Miller at £2 a pop, no fucking way would I be throwing them. Inverness in gig clash shocker! Still, as much as I like Idlewild I'm glad I got tickets for the Pigeon Detectives (even if I'd rather it was at the Works). I think I'd rather clean my ears out with buds made of the heaviest grade sandpaper than be there on the 17th of December though.

Hughsie
Gutted they're not playing thru here. You could have been up to Dundee with us in the car. Was really good. Edinburgh was much much better, in nearly every way. The shape of Potterrow is quite shit for gigs but the bar was reasonably priced and the gig itself was a bit more mental than Dundee, which was the calmest Cribs gig I have ever been at (T in the Park aside obviously). It cost me £10.50 for three cans of Red Stripe at Fat Sams for fuck sake! Next gigs are probably going to be Delays at King Tuts and Hoxton Bar and Grill. I then have the pleasure of going to see Take That with the girlfriend. Oh Yes. Edited October 14, 2007 by Hughsie
