footiechick
Beef stew with apricots Wasn't sure about the fruit but they melted away and sweetened up the tomatoey sauce nicely. A touch of cumin and paprika too

Mr Rational
Tried to make lamb kleftiko in the cooker the other day. Looked like shit, but tasted okay. Next time, I will stick to the traditional recipe and shove it in the oven.

mathematics
Just discovered this thread. Clearly I'm not for reading all of it. However, just in case it hasn't been mentioned: stick chopped up chorizo in your slow cooker chilli recipe. Great.

Bold Rover
Mrs Bold got a new slow cooker for her Xmas. (I used to get her Hoover bags but she's got a Dyson now.) She asks me for some recipe suggestions from the PnB experts.
Nkomo-A-Gogo
I got something akin to a slow cooker for the Christmas but its called a easy chef 6000 or something. I think 6000 refers to what degrees it goes up to. It doesnt look like what i thought and its still in the boot of the car.
Estragon
Hello all slow cookers - I'm looking for some advice. I'm doing a shoulder of pork in mine this afternoon, it's in just now with some onions, garlic, chicken stock, salt, cinnamon, sugar, chilli and cumin. The question is, do I turn this thing over halfway through or something? It seems unfathomably big to cook in this meagre amount of liquid. Expecting folk for about 4-4.30. My only slow cooker experience thus far was a god awful beef bourgignon about a year ago, and I don't want to similarly f**k this up.
locheedfcno1
I sometimes turn the joint over of its big. You don't need a lot of water in slow cooker. Just keep it on low till you ready to serve. Put whole potatoes in as well
