invergowrie arab
Dundee looking really good this year on the whole. Still think the conference is Clan's but Stars should be aiming for the playoffs. Edinburgh and Manchester look stick one to miss out at this stage.
BallochSonsFan
Dundee deserved the win on Sunday. Whilst a travel hangover wouldnt have helped Braehead, its early enough in the season that players shouldnt be too tired. We were off the pace all game and Dundee exploited that with some pretty good skating, positioning and puck use. At times Dundee looked a bit frantic defending in their own zone - immediately before their opener there was a mad scramble in front of the Dundee crease - but they took their goals well and forced Holt into making some good saves. Dundee had the better chances overall and were worth their win. It's what the Clan need to be honest. We were great at times last season but a collective failure in leadership saw our bottle crash in the cup game v Coventry, the league game v Edinburgh and the play-off game v Hull. A strong Dundee and tougher games in Edinburgh, Fife and the unknown that is Manchester will hopefully toughen us up for a better run at the title. Theres no scope for any team to give anything less than 100% this season because the result will be dropped points.
invergowrie arab
Interesting that Braehead benched 4 lines but the likes of McKenzie iced about 3 times.
invergowrie arab
Braehead v Stars on 10 October looks like it could be sold out.
gavin_3110
Braehead cuffed 6-2 at Murrayfield on Saturday, two points away to Coventry with an overtime winner on Sunday. Caps lost in Cardiff. Caps are either shite or champagne. Didn't see any EIHL games this week but instead went through to see North Ayr v Paisley Pirates, Paisley won 13-1 and the match took a full three hours, the last period was a riot. invergowrie arab
I'm tempted to say Braehead are shite but stars have a double header with them this weekend so it could bite me on the arse. BallochSonsFan
Braehead are shite. The team looks good on paper but there's something lacking on ice. Bruton isn't playing the physical game we expected and we don't have another power forward. Our attack is really 1 dimensional. At the back? McIver hasn't had the best start to his Clan career and Fritsch isn't looking like the player he was last year. Gotz needs more time to settle into the more physical UK game. We can turn it around. The players must have found it tough with so much early season disruption. That's not an excuse that'll run much longer and we really need to see progress during October. Big danger is that there are still guys out there who could do a job for us - the longer we wait to make changes then the fewer players there are who can make a difference.

invergowrie arab
The clan intro speech isn't at all embarrassing.

invergowrie arab
Good game tonight. Thought it could have gone either way. 3PP and an empty net for clans goals. Need to tighten up on pens tomorrow. We also need to start putting up some league wins. Decent ppreseason and cup results and good points v panthers and Steelers but with blaze and storm winning we need to start pulling wins out of the bag.
BallochSonsFan
Can we get Lefevre drunk and steal Lou Dickenson from you? Big Doug Clarkson to please.
invergowrie arab
Lou was certainly on form tonight. Not a great game but will take poits over performance at the moment.
gavin_3110
Conference certainly looking interesting, anyone can beat anyone at this point. I think everyone has improved, the two teams who miss out on the playoffs this year will still be accomplished sides. Going to the Braehead game on Thursday night against Manchester. Tickets only £10 if anyone is thinking about taking in their first hockey match, as good a time as any to do it.
gavin_3110
Edinburgh beat Sheffield away from home last night on penalty shots despite being four imports short. One injured, two suspended and one left the day before! Some result given the circumstances. They've got a nice new website here - Click The Caps' average result in midweek games south of the border must be something like a 6-1 defeat. Some truly awful results over the years, it's nice to see they're no longer embarrassing themselves.
invergowrie arab
The fans in kirkcaldy are revolting. Also, I might not get to say it again so can I just point out Stars are top of the conference.
gavin_3110
The fans in kirkcaldy Fifers are revolting. Fixed. No Elite League game for me this weekend, took in Paisley Pirates v Solway Sharks, Paisley won 4-3, Solway had some excellent young players on display. Two great results for Dundee this weekend! Looks like Caps' David Rutherford is going to be out for a good while, 10 weeks I'd saw. Edinburgh two imports down and with Bigos constantly under investigation from the DOPS, it's usually three. There's a groupon offer on for the game this Saturday against Cardiff if anyone is at a loose end.

DiegoDiego
All four Scottish teams are in playoff positions. It's been a long time since I've seen that. Hopefully the Caps won't implode half way through the season.
