Unpopular opinions.

Unpopular opinion about that clip: Walter Smith comes across as a tosser in it, despite Chick Young's awkward and poor phrasing of the question.
Aye, probably found it hilarious when I was younger. It's not for me though that sort of patter. Young would have been well within his rights to tell him to shove it up his arse, but as he was there to do his job, didn't do so.

Pretty much classic bullying.

You mean "Why did you throw all that money away on Brian Laudrup, he's shite."?

Meh, the two would've been on friendly terms for much of their respective careers. It was a stupid question and Chic Young deserves any earful coming his way. Not having bullying chat there.

The BBC Sports news on the radio reporting on womens fitba straight after the mens. Totally confusing when they talk about the Champions league etc.

If it were purely based on popularity of said sports there would be an angling section, snooker, darts, shinty, knitting and basket weaving before the SWPFL

Spoiler

I know this sounds totally 1970s sexist, but I just think the interested audience in womens football is massively outweighed by the BBCs concern to be seen as showing a level playing field

It's a promotional job as part of their public service remit. There's plenty other channels that cover stuff based on popularity.

Although i do get annoyed by the bbc website reporting on US sports because they think we're part of US culture. Somecunt i never heard of retired from rounders was breaking news last month. Then some other c**t got a lot of points at rugby with pads. Fuuck off bbc

I don’t have a particular issue with the bbc promoting womens football on the basis as national broadcaster they want to push something which has been neglected over time.

I wish they’d apply similar care for Scottish football.

Same shape ball?

Same shape ball, objective to touch down said ball in an end zone, kicky action through same shaped goals.

Both really dull?

The ball doesn't need to be touched down in AF, they just need to get to that area. Regardless, using that as a similarity is surely like saying football is similar to Ice Hockey/Hockey/Lacrosse? See also the kicking through shaped goals.

Dull is subjective. I was of a similar view to AF until I got to know the rules tbh. And shared similar views that it was rugby with pads but it's in no way the same.

I just said there were parallels. Hockey definitely has a parallel with football in that the objective is to get it in a similar shaped goal.

You don’t need to explain AF to me, my wifi is being a pain in the arse and stopping me working so I’m just being a dick.
