The Falkirk FC Thread

Morton have responded to the shock departure of boss Ray McKinnon after he joined Falkirk earlier this evening.

Chairman Crawford Rae has issued a statement apologising to supporters and suggested the Bairns may have tapped up McKinnon ahead of formally contacting Morton, while also hinting the club could take legal action.

The former Dundee United boss quit Cappielow after just three months at the helm - and with the club sitting second in the Championship.

He was formally announced as Falkirk manager just hours after speaking with Rae at Morton training and is now tasked with hauling his new club off the foot of the table.

What a salty wee boy Crawford Rae is

After Ayr Uniteds statement saying we behaved impeccably with negotiations im calling bullshit on this.
On the other hand i have no problem if we bend the rules to suit us...... about time.

My thoughts exactly. Why would we change our approach. Falkirk should release a statement to clarify.

I understand your anger.  We would be angry if the situation was reversed.  Unfortunately that's football.

Morton are being very nieve if they think that in modern day football managers agents arent sounded out regarding interest in jobs. It happens everywhere and even then with the window closing tonight we needed to get a manager in very quick so 6 hours is nothing.

We're deluding ourselves to think football is anything other than a business as seen from those who work in it.  For the manager and players it's just a job, they'll say nice things about their current club and will say similarly nice things about their next team.  The fans ARE the club - we are Falkirk.

Sorry that your shitey little team couldn’t cope with the navy blue pound coming into town and taking whatever we want.

We’re not here to take part. We’re here to take over xxx
