Ever thought they are maybe not ready? Leave that to the manager he knows much better than us what his players can and can’t do and who is up to it if not.

Probably but the manager knows best could be the answer for almost any football discussion on here.

Thought they looked like good players when given their chance so would’ve liked to have seen them get more of a game, that’s all.

If Honeyman had went back to Shire for another stint I would most likely be questioning his development but assuming he gets a decent amount of game time at Alloa, I think it's a fantastic loan move for him and us, playing at the top end of the league below is pretty much exactly where u want your young players to be going if they aren't quite ready for the 1st team.

Watched Walker & Sinclair play in reserve league cup tie v Pars a couple weeks ago & sorry to say that neither of them excelled but 17year old centre back Cammy was our best prospect on day.

That’d be Cameron McNab, Kircer?

Honeyman to Alloa on loan is starting to make sense. I mean, to sign him from Falkirk towards the end of a 10 week layoff due to injury is quite some leap of faith.

But their own Luke Rankine (CF) was on loan at The Shire last season too, and he fairly rattled in the goals. Reckon when watching their youngster, Scott H caught the eye of Alloa development staff.
Loan may have happened sooner but for the unfortunate injury, and he was finally signed on deadline day (for loans).

Either way, we’re all wishing young Honeyman every success - Alloa did well last season with Sutherland, Steven & Wales.

Anyone ITK know what’s going on with the commercial guys departure?

Nothing concerning AFAIK. One has a job offer from elsewhere and the other decided to move on following the departure of his colleague as the two of them worked closely together. There is still one member of the team left who's going to be holding the fort until replacements arrive.

Both have a lot of customers and friends amongst the wider support so I assume they'll explain to their clients when they say goodbye. No doubt some of those will be posters on here and can report back on what was said at the farewells.

There's no question the commercial team have really raised the bar considerably in recent seasons. Hoping whichever individuals are hired to replace them will be of a similar or better standard to keep this crucial source of Club income strong.

Who would you drop to give them game time?

Just hope we are paying these guys well for the work which they did.  Surely a part time SPFL club isn't paying more?

Who's funding Spartans btw?

From what I know they have a once a season fundraising dinner that’s ridiculously well attended (Edinburgh elite, great guests eg Alex Ferguson etc) that rakes in ridiculous amounts. Other than that it’s well run and sustainable

Yip he does know better than us. The two of them were never getting a game in front of the four wide players we have. The comparisons with Bobby Wales are so far off the mark. He is miles ahead of those two lads.
The two of them may have looked ok but for me they were just that and certainly nothing like ready yet to be first team players.
