AL-FFC
When you look at Baird's scoring records his stand outs were for us and Raith, 87 app for us and 32 goals, Raith was 71 apps and 23 goals, Montrose 41 app and 20 goals can look at that in a lot of ways but he's only as good as the team around him. Think a lot of folk gave him a bit stick and could say his motivation for moving on was the boo boys that questioned his ability and wanted to prove himself away from the club he can still score goals, you can't fault his work rate though was sad to see him go tbh but good luck to him for the future, just not against us.

He was very streaky at the best of times . Would go for weeks not scoring and then weeks when he couldn't miss. Unfortunately the bad spells outweighed the good last season and Houston kept picking him for far too long. Does a job if your happy pottering about in the playoffs but for promotion we needed better ie Loy.

Hope he does well at Inverness (not too well though) always gave 100% and hated being taken off
Guest
FFS if someone said lose Baird and McHugh and bring in Loy not one Falkirk fan would argue a f**k.St.Mirren fans saying we are paying 2 grand a week. Merely deflection from fans of a club who are basically potless signing maybeees from the Seaside Leagues
NavyBlueArmy1876
We've shed Rogers, Leahy, McCracken, Aird, Sibbald, McHugh and Baird. We've only signed Mitchell, Harris and Loy. Even if Loy is on £1,700 a week (he isn't) and after a replacement for Sibbald + possibly an other, we're still spending less than last season
ebobsboy
No danger Loy is on 2 grand a week. He was rumoured to be on 1500 a week at Dundee, i cant see him being anywhere near that with us either. Especially a two year deal.
19QOS19
Bottom line, whatever he is on he is worth it the sexy wee rascal, but lets stop the 2k patter. Even if we stick with 1.99k, but the Queens posters are going to sniff out this patter soon and we wont hear the fucking end of it Indeed. Far too easy though so I won't bother
MrDust
Pay off from Dundee assured 2yr contract on lesser money v stay at Dundee and not get a chance to play... Very much the Rankin deal to Queens but we get a player who will improve us.....

Agreed. The guy gave 100% every minute he was on the pitch for us. He goes with my thanks however Loy is defo a step up in class for us.

You've swapped games with Hibs and Raith with Inverness and Brechin, that's a massive hit in any teams budget.

More so Dunfermline than any team. All very great when these teams are in yer league and you give them many tickets but that goes pete Tong when they leave. Shit load of cash leaving Pars shortly

Shit load of cash leaving Pars shortly Yes, again this is pretty obvious and is something the Pars board have been very open about. We posted a profit in league one with virtually no away supports at all and shitter prize money, I have faith our board will see us right.
Poet of the Macabre
As Grant says, Board have been open that we'll be down by as much as 100 grand this year. That's the issue when you lose a great club like Hibs and have to make do with tiny crowds from Inverness, Livingston and Falkirk.
RC55 FFC
The DAFC board are as open & honest as they need to be so that you all keep pumping in your monthly subs. FWIW they will be delighted we lost out in the play offs so you can continue to hoover up the Navy Blue Pounds.

Your club sent out a panic statement just a few weeks ago about how much you need big ST sales to fund signings. On top of the farcical Budapest trip and the drastically reduced commercial spending, I'd be rather concerned if I was a Falkirk fan at the moment.
NavyBlueArmy1876
Losing Hibs and Raith is a disaster for Dunfermline. 2×4,000 and 2×1,500 away fans. For ourselves it isn't nearly as bad, 2×2,000 and 2×400. Another year of strong season ticket sales is also helping to minimise that loss. Each extra 100 season tickets sold = around 1,500 away fans. The navy blue pound is strong right now, no doubt about it.

How odd.
