Clever bit of fixture re-arranging by the club. Montrose moved to 20th, after the Hamilton game. Which means if Cove beat Brora in the Scottish Cup, then the 10th becomes a free Saturday for us (Scottish Cup weekend). This gives the players two weeks rest & recovery before the Hamilton game which could all but settle it. Here’s hoping.

Edit to add: Hamilton are playing Annan on 10th Feb.

is there not a possibility that they could end up moving the Cove game to the 13th though?

Are you talking about the Rawlins?

I am talking about all major shareholders. If this club is to continue progress it needs that leg of the stool to be active. The club needs clarity and they either get involved or make it possible for the Board to seek others who will. The current hiatus can’t go on

Both teams need to agree though so not necessarily. Plus that’s likely a “postponement” date for the Scottish cup date on the 10th (assuming Cove are involved obv).

It does also, though, give us a clear route to go into the game knowing a win would put us top or level on points. Granted you’d have a game in hand, but also having a midweek trip to Cove is surely undesirable?

Re the fixtures, the main thing is for us to win away at Alloa on Saturday, that means Hamilton would need to win their next 4 games (including away at us) to be just joint top. Even if they did that, we'd also still have a game in hand. If we win away on Saturday we are in a good position.

^ This, one game at a time

Members of the previous MSG did give the club soft loans last season so definitely still involved.

Good to see the FSS hit the symbolic 25%. In the grand scheme of things that is all it is as not every other shareholder was ever going to vote against the FSS anyway so they already had more than enough to block any resolutions.

Not difficult to work out, though some had difficulty understanding that.

You're quite right. Still a long way to go. As in all sports, momentum is a crucial factor, and we've def stalled, given the nature of our last two outings. We really need to respond on Saturday.  Feb 17 has looked key for a while, looking even more so now.

Involved is not just putting a little bit of cash in. The club needs that major share holding part of the stool to be much more active IMO.

Indeed.

Cash is always the root of whatever the club wants to improve but what skillset and experience/expertise is required and what goals outwith the obvious aim of promotions do posters think the club should be focussed on.

Open question to all just out of interest 🪖

Sammy should have scored 4, Miller hit the bar, and we should have had a penalty also

Favourite moment is at 2:03, Davie Nic hauling someone down, Jambos going mental for a penalty, ball breaks up to John Henry who parts the Hearts backline like the red sea

Those 20 seconds of noise before the roar when Coyle hits the back of net, goosebumps every time

Still the best and most lethal Falkirk performance I've seen 💙

My favourite part of the 4-0 Hearts game commentary is "two and a half minutes and it was coming!". Hit the post and scored inside two minutes. That's how to start a game. The atmosphere was brilliant totally unsettled Hearts. That and the heavy pitch and the fact they looking completely out of shape after their winter break. Not to take anything away from us we were electric that day right from the start everyone knew we were on it.

It was a strange feeling that day. Sitting in that old rickety stand, 4 up at half time, and yet I was still half expecting Hearts to make a comeback. 😀

But they had nothing that day to threaten us.,…..

I can remember wehn the 4th went in being down at the choir, and it almost being.... Subdued. It was like no one really beleievd what was happening. There was as much "what the f**k is going on here" as there was celebrations. Iv never seen it come together like that in a game of football since when think of where the teams were etc. They were riding high IIRC, and we absolutely, in the purest sense of the phrase, blew them away that day.
