Annoying things people write on Facebook

To be fair he's got a point, all the top scientists I speak to say that they're holding out on game changing discoveries until they get more cash.

Where do you meet all these top scientists?

I feel a bit sorry for the bottom scientists. What distinguishes a top scientist from a bottom scientist? Is it milk, lemonade, chocolate?

Nightmare for the 199th ranked scientist I wonder how they are ranked despite their hugely varying fields?). Just missing out on the big pay day.

You'd think that the 199th best scientist would be at least vaguely proficient in the use of untraceable poisons, and be able to nobble one of the top 198.

I don't think this will work.

Imagine if they're ranked like tennis players are - no one  outside the top 20 is going to do anything special and so it'll be the same people making the discoveries whilst the rest make up the numbers.

Seems highly inefficient to me. I'd buy the footballer.

To move up the rankings, do the scientists have to carry out a few bullshit friendly experiments away from home?

"Well Clive, the beaker exploded in my face and the lab burned down, but we learnt a lot from this experiment and a few of the young test tubes got a run out. The real test is when the Nobel qualifiers begin"

I'd imagine there'll be an FB campaign for Dr Wolfgang Schnell out of Billy the Fish to be paid Bill Gates money in the next wee while.

I’m sure that I’ve heard people talk about “the four most experts in their field”.

Unfortunately I’ve no idea where this field is, nor where the next 194 ranked experts would be found.
