Rangers knew full well they were heading for the shitter when they signed him off us, why else were they trying to structure every deal into various repayments. Although I have every sympathy for Hearts and the £800K that they are about to kiss goodbye too, I have to wonder what Romanov was playing at. Romanov works in the financial sector, surely either he, or 1 of his many pals knows Craig Whyte. As a 'Well supporter, I was disappointed but not surprised by Stuart McCall's comments. Basically, he was toeing the Hateley/Goram line - without Rangers, we're all doomed! In his e-mail, of course, he simply asserted it as a fact, with no backing evidence, no engagement with actual numbers attending matches, financial figures involved. However, today's article in 'Scotland on Sunday' suggests that 'Well would be the biggest losers in a Rangers-free SPL, to the tune of more than 700,000 pounds. Whereas Kilmarnock stand to lose only 200,000. How come? Can anyone substantiate, or preferably refute, these figures? Regardless, I'm of the same mind as before, that the damage inflicted on the higher echelons of Scottish football by this 'peculiar institution' (history buffs will take the reference)will be nothing to the damage accruing if the b*****ds survive to lord it over us again. How many of Europe's big teams, AC Milan, Barca, Real Madrid, Man City, Bayern Munich etc, would be willing to send a team to Glasgow in the middle of a domestic and European season for a friendly with Rangers? Against a Rangers team whose players have had no competitive matches all season and will be looking to prove a point, I really dont see any major European sides risking any of their players in that kind of environment. Where would Rangers get these players anyway, with no league or Cup income, how could they afford to retain players? Would the SFA sanction referees to officiate at a club who have been suspended? With Rangers not having a UEFA licence, would UEFA allow matches to go ahead against teams involved in UEFA competitions, Champions league, Europa Cup etc.? No, I dont see this coming off at all. Rangers best bet would be a couple of tours, with the USA then Australia/New Zealand probably being their best bet. Keeping the flame alive around the globe. Do the SFA have a date for this hearing that FIFA want dealt with quickly? Do we have a date for the BTC verdict? Do we have dates for the SPL looking into the dual contracts? Does everyone have to wait until a certain date to tell Green where to shove his CVA? When is this? Are their any other key dates I should know about?
