EdinburghPar1975
Nothings changed in so far as Green can sell to Wattie and co if he wants...he just gets to name the price!
Fife Saint
This must be good. They'll just buy the new company from Green after he gets his cut and take it from there. At least it's people with the right intentions for the club at the helm.
Kyle
In all seriousness, when all the dust has settled on this story and all the spin-off issues have got resolved, someone will write a proper serious book about the whole affair. It's going to be some read. It's been a epic saga already. Absolutely correct. With everything that's happened in the last 10/15 years, I'm sure the author could literally do volumes. I'd buy them all. This has, singlehandedly, been the most interesting, emotive story I've witnessed in football - or certainly from my perspective.
pozbaird
If H+D / Green now try and sell assets to Vulture Consortium, should BDO not step in to stop the sale and then carry out the asset sale themselves as liquidators ? BDO have sent their top man to Glasgow to sort Team Cardigan out good and proper....
7-2
If this falls through it could tip me over the edge...Of Erskine Bridge!!! Make sure you drop your fares off first, there's a good lad.
No8.
*sniggers* I actually cringed reading that. Have you not got an email to send away? A phone call to make? wunfellaff
Forgive me if already posted but I'm just catching up on the days developments...... Watty put in an offer for the club? Yes? He is one of the names still to come out in the EBT's I reckon. Wouldn't it be fitting if his offer was the same as his EBT The club supplies the cash....to buy the club. Actually, this is the same method as Green, Whyte etc etc , stadard practice it seems.
The Old Northerner
I don't know why Rangers fans are happy. This Smith led bid is great news for all of us diddy fans. It means a few things as far as I can see: 1. The fighting over the corpse will hopefully delay any Newco application, possibly until it's too late. 2. Any improved bid should see money heading towards creditors. 3. Any failure by D&P to sell the assets to the highest bidder will see legal challenges towards them, which could put the assets into limbo, therefore preventing any Newco from competing. We all expected a battle for the scraps, this is merely the beginning. Indeed, there may be a battle but points 2 & 3 may not be valid. D&P have sold the business and assets to Green as per 'binding agreement'. Unless that sale is challenged then 2) there can be no more money and 3) Green was the only, therefore highest, bidder. It is now a fight over a existing, trading and solvent company

First thing that went through my head when I heard it was "Yaass" it's great to watch Rangers The Rangers Cardigan Rangers The Rangers fight to claw back that 4 goal deficit in the last few minutes of the match.
itzdrk
i was out so i missed all this , just wanna get my head around it (from what i think ive heard) so watty broon brogues is the figurehead of a consortium where everyone bar him is putting money in? their plan is he will come in and manage the club until it can be passed over to someone deemed fit and proper? clear up what ive got wrong please ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- another thing i was wondering is since they are dead what does this mean for the sponsorship deals they have , will they be simply re contracted to the newco (check me out trying to work out serious things in this thread for the first time)
Macshimmy
In terms of investors in the company, to date our investors include Chris Morgan, a UK-based businessman representing family trusts; Glenmuir, the renowned Scottish clothing company; Ian Hart a Glasgow-based businessman; Alessandro Celano of Blue Pitch Holdings and Zeus Capital Rangers men? Looks like a wunch of bankers to me
Stu
So one of Green's backers is Glenmuir. Not impressed about that - doubt poz will be either. Another is a guy called Ian Hart (not that one). A quick Google shows an Ian Hart based in Glasgow who is involved with a number of property firms - one of them amusingly called Murray Property. What could he possibly want with Rangers' assets?
Wokcomble
I have started and deleted this post about 10 times. Most of you cannot even begin to imagine what the last few months have been like and regardless of whatever team you support or what you have written about myself or my team i genuinely hope not a single one of you ever has to endure it. If you do i hope that in your hour of need i act with humility and understanding after this experience. I only wish more of our supporters had learned something from this whole experience but i fear many will not forgive certain clubs and the supporters of those clubs who have taken so much pleasure in our demise. Maybe posting on here has helped me see both sides and have a better understanding of the situation. I am struggling to keep my feet on the ground. For Rangers supporters this is everything we have been waiting for...OK we have been made to wait a little longer than we would have hoped for but now we have real Rangers men with experience of the footballing side heading up a consortium of other real Rangers men with the financial clout to get us through this time. People have been wondering why Jim McColl has not stepped forward before now but maybe today we have the answer. Please Mr Green. I know i have abused you before but please now step aside..take your money and leave. There is absolutely no going back from this. I might add that i haven't changed my opinion on SFL 3. It is the only fitting punishment and a hard hitting precedence has to be set but with these people behind us The Rangers will be in safe hands. I am actually so happy i could greet but the kids are here and the slagging i would get is just not worth it. If you have an ounce of humanity left in you i hope you all want this to go ahead..If this falls through it could tip me over the edge...Of Erskine Bridge!!! But Smith & co are too late - Rangers FC is being liquidated. They should have come in earleir, got the CVA through, and taken it from there. They let the club die, and all they are doing is trying to take the place of Green and his Newco. Walter Smith and co, had a chance to save your club and they didn't do it. Who are they trying to kid.? Have they no shame ??
Sam Leitch Loyal
Where are Chuckie's far-East backers? And if this is the guy he mentions, how apt. http://ianhart.org/index.html

All commercial deals and contracts are now null and void. The NewCo will need to negotiate everything from scratch
