If Brown get's his hands on the keys, who's the next "legend" to turn up and take over claiming to be the messiah?

It surely has to be Gascoigne. Nothing says "the limit of absurdity has been reached" these days like the appearance of Gascoigne.

No chance.

So what happens then? Do the likes of Spartans or Cove Rangers join the league, and if so, where does that leave Sevco5088? Taking a sabbatical year? Third Lanarked?

Easy option is simply to suspend RFC for a season, and consider all their results as automatic 3-0 defeats.

Don't think there will be a definitive 'death day', more of a constant trickle of 'Nos' from SFL clubs, the failure to apply for transfer of SFA membership, players leaving and glacially-slow dawning in the Glasgow media that Sevco 5088 is not viable and will be playing in no league next season.

Every day the chances of them staying out altogether increase. It's like the weeks spent humming and hawing in administration all over again.

Is this like that plinth thingy they did in Hyde Park -where anyone could go up and spout about whatever they wanted to get off their chest? Is Green renting Ibrox for public announcements? Can anybody do this?

From what little I've watched, I may take back my conspiracy theory about his time at Broadwood. If his team talks were as incoherent, it explains everything. He's a buffoon but a buffoon with connections.

Sevco can't get a team off the ground this year. They'll try and sell on the assets and leave it to others to attempt to restart either by buying a smaller club or from the grassroots - might end up with more than one 'continuity Rangers'.

If they took a sabbatical they would be even more dead and buried than they are currently.

And who is to say they would get in the year later anyway if there are still clubs who have went about things the right way in application for the league.

The BBC report on the gathering doesn't support the original Rangers fan's estimate of 10,000 attendees: http://www.bbc.co.uk...w-west-18619863

Well of course not - the BBC is riddled with tarriers, some of whom are hardcore and unreconstructured, who will undoubtably have an agenda against "Rangers minded" people and will twist the truth at every opportunity.

So you reckon they'll be out the game for a year?

Starting again in the Third Division?

As Craigkillie has pointed out, in the event of an invitation being opened *someone* has to be voted in. Right now the biggest problem facing Those-That-Would-Be-Rangers is that Green may very well simply have no interest in trying, which means they may not have a ground. One is going to have a hard time convincing even the average Mirror Group reader that one is the rightful heir to The Biggest Trophy Haul of Them All if one does not actually play at Ibrox. But you can't imagine the SFL allowing the Third to go a team short.

Spartans' position, so far as I know, is that they won't apply for an opening if "Rangers" do. But if this gets any worse, there may well be no "Rangers" applying at all. Should that happen, I dare say that P&B members would be well advised to rapidly invest in Ben & Jerry's, or failing that Iceland and Farmfoods.

I'd imagine the huge potential support will swing it for them, for entry to the Third Division. I wonder if the new owners will be able to afford Green's rental charges for the stadium, or whether they'll be looking to ground share.

If the SFL let someone else into the Third Division, then Sevco5088 will be struggling to get in next year.
