Ah, Regan... the guy who prior to joining the SFA as chief exec had only dealt with Scottish football when trying to jump into bed with the OF for major sponsorship deals. Little's changed it would seem.

Maybe they could spend their giro's on something else.....soap maybe ?......New clothes other than rangers tops & tracksuits?......looking after their children perhaps ?

Just a few ideas.

Gives them more time to brainwash the next generation of peepul.

"Listen son we are the peepul, the rangers, the rest are aw t1ms and bampots - oh, and we like the queen tae and we want god tae save her,-ok son. Now go tell yer brother."

What the f**k is Regan on about? He's floundering now with a statement like that. These hotshot CEOs have little grasp of the particular nuances of Scottish Football. Their corporate philosophies are ill-fitting in football, let alone the particular workings of the Scottish game.

He and Doncaster must be ready to walk. It's been an unmitigated disaster from both of them.

Of course, there will be social unrest without a platform for bigotry. For violent thugs such as those who threw the bottles at the bus of the Villareal team in Spain. Those who rioted in Manchester. Fans that discriminate against Irish Catholics. How on earth will we live without them? Oh, wait, Scottish society would dramatically improve without them. Were Rangers to go bust, then sectarianism and bigotry might then become far less prevalent in Scottish society.

Money argument has failed so got to try and ratchet pressure some how.

These "hotshot CEOs" have little grasp on their jobs anymore. If they're not ready to walk, they should expect to pushed soon enough.

Doncaster won't last till Christmas, and Regan won't be far behind. If the leagues do merge, then Longmuir will be out the door with the old.

Rangers newco: 'Big problem for Scottish society' if Rangers plunge to Third Division

Regan: 'There would be a slow lingering death for football in Scotland' (SNS)

By STEPHEN HALLIDAY

Published on Wednesday 4 July 2012 21:26

SCOTTISH Football Association chief executive Stewart Regan has issued a startling warning of "social unrest" in Scotland if newco Rangers are denied entry to the First Division of the Scottish Football League following the emphatic rejection today of their application to retain top-flight football at Ibrox.

Regan's remarkable comment came as he insisted admission to the First Division is now the only viable option if Scottish football wishes to avoid what he described as a "slow, lingering death".

Regan bluntly asserted that Scottish football simply cannot afford to have Rangers outwith the top two tiers of the league structure, with his argument not confined to the commercial impact their absence would have.

"Without Rangers, there is social unrest and a big problem for Scottish society," claimed Regan. "They have a huge fan base and to contemplate the situation where those fans don't have a team to support, where those fans are effectively left without a game to follow, I just think that could lead to all sorts of issues, all sorts of problems for the game.

"Tribalism in football is really important. It is part of the game. People follow their clubs with pride, it is passed down from generation to generation. There are thousands of Rangers fans whose fathers and parents and grandfathers have been Rangers fans. You can't contemplate a situation without that and if Rangers weren't to exist that could have real dire consequences.

Well done grabbing that before it got pulled, was only up for about 10 minutes!

So. Same line as Cockwomble then. Slow lingering death is too good for 'em. b*****ds.

The Herald reported today that Broxi Bear had said 'No to Newco' and signed for Blair Drummond Safari Park!

Nah, it fell through in the end and now he's ironically getting arse-raped by Sexual Harassment Panda:

The flailings of a desperate man.

He is seeing him bum chum Doncaster losing his job, his team getting punted down to the 3rd at best and no one is listening to his financial ramblings.

He needs to go.

Not for someone in the position of the SFA. Should get the sack for that alone.

If the SFA put Rangers back into Division 1 - i can see a lot of people boycotting Scotland matches.

One of my workmates was complaining about the sevco situation last week and how the SFA should be stepping in and sorting it out, all the while he was buying the five game package with the guaranteed tickets for the England game.
