Njord Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 In your opinion of course... Which means that you think that owing over £18M is not a horrendous situation for a lower league Club to be in. That correct? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Njord Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 You just now they were sitting next to their keyboards at 10.29 this morning ready to pile in, then went ...erm.. Well it was the party line last night.... Chris Graham @ChrisGraham76 @Titch9x @ofvoid Current info is that HMRC have lost again yes. It'll be confirmed one way or another tomorrow. 6:45 PM - 3 Nov 2015 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ross. Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Exactly what the 'Rangers' fans here at work are saying. Indeed they don't even seem that fussed TBH. The old holding company that paid all those players must have been the most successful holding company in world football. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~ Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Let's be honest. even though they are confirmed cheats. The SPFL won't do anything. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
CityDave Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 So if fake Rangers are genuine Rangers through continuation as Rangers people and fans bang on about is this not them digging themselves into a great big hole that they are just not going to be able to climb out of?. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Hipster Dufus Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Exactly what the 'Rangers' fans here at work are saying. Indeed they don't even seem that fussed TBH. Of course they don't but they were pretty chuffed when they won the original case (or at least found to have done nothing wrong). Can't have it both ways. Oh wait, they can - 'cos they arra pee-pelllllll. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Auld Heid Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) Lol HMRC win , Rangers were cheating b*****ds. Time for Rangers fans to start denouncing this judgement after spending the last 3 years defending them. Its still 2 judgements to 1 in favour of Rangers over HMRC. HMRC pursued a case they could never win other than in principal and at what expense to the Tax Payers? The defendants in this case don't exist HMRC saw them liquidated by turning down the CVA That decision resulted in many people losing any chance of some return on the money they were due and in the process HMRC have spent thousands if not millions in legal fees to pursue justification over any hope of recovery. HMRC stood back for years and happily allowed Rangers and other clubs to use EBTs - these were shown in club accounts which HMRC had access to. So if anything this judgement only show how incompetent HMRC really are. Edited November 4, 2015 by Auld Heid -2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dunning1874 Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 All the EBT ruling amounts to is confirmation that the old club were cheating in the run-up to liquidation, while it will add an astronomical amount to sum BDO are trying to recover and never will in full. It's nice to have that legally confirmed for a bit of a GIRUY, but really we all knew it anyway. The accounts are still the most important story today. Where does the £2.5 million come from, that's the big question. Can Park, Letham and Taylor stump up that sum? On the fact of it there's no reason to believe they can't or wouldn't, but will they be unsure about getting it back in the face of the criminal cases against Whyte, Green et al? Purely speculation here. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
