forehead7
Let's just shut the forum down then Why is Martinez more highly respected than, say, Chris Hughton? What has Martinez achieved that means he can be talked about as being too good for Everton without that being roundly laughed at by the media? So he has punched his weight in terms of budget and is being talked about for a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid without people laughing? Is that not only Dave Whelan's viewpoint though? Where has Martinez come out and said that he deserves better than Everton? Dave Whelan is quite clearly just bigging up his manager. Let's not forget that he tried to defend that horror tackle against Newcastle a few months ago (or whenever it was). Whelan's also a massive c**t. Suggestions that Martinez deserves better than Everton (at this point) are ridiculous, but I don't think him being touted for the Everton job is that ridiculous. Brave as a Lion
So he has punched his weight in terms of budget and is being talked about for a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid without people laughing? I'm only commenting on his suitability for Everton.
54_and_counting
So he has punched his weight in terms of budget and is being talked about for a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid without people laughing? If martinez consistenly punches his weight with teams, then surely at any club he'll at least achieve what their budget dictates Give him the biggest budget in the world and his record would indicate he'd be the best in the world
throbber
I like him he stuck with Wigan when he was stick on to go to Spurs and just seems like a nice guy who never really sulks or anything. Glad to see him doing well
Larbert_Par
He has Everton playing some really terrific football with a high-tempo that is exciting to watch. For him to have Everton where they are at the moment will do nicely - he's got the supporters onside as well. Solo lo mejor.

J_Stewart
Has his teams "play the game the right way" and can knee slap with the best of them on the Goals on Sunday couch. This renders him immune from criticism regardless of how shite his team is playing.

MarkoRaj
They really are on a horrible run of form. Said at the time that shooting their load on one player was the wrong way to go. They should have strengthened in other areas of the park rather than pinning their hopes on Lukaku

AMMjag
He was always going to have a tough task following David Moyes, but he really is having a bit of a shocker this season. Only QPR have conceded more goals than them now. Can't say I'm too disappointed to see him struggling, in terms of wanky 'football philosophy' chat he's right up there with Brendan Rodgers.
