I would imagine so. When you see it like that it looks impressive. Disregard the result for a second and think that it is going to be good to see Hampden filled to capacity when there is no old firm team playing. Has it ever happened before? Excluding internationals.

Cup finals like Hearts vs. Gretna, Hibs vs. Kilmarnock, Dundee Utd vs. Ross County etc? :P

Someone on Kickback said that there is 'damage' to the upper south stand? If so it better fucking be sorted by the 19th. If this one isn't packed to the rafters then it's outrageous that it isn't going to take place elsewhere.

Hampden will be packed to the brim, theres no doubting that. What an outstanding occasion this is, it doesn't get any bigger than this. I'm not going to sleep a wink until this is done and the dust is settled.

BRING IT ON!

I take it this will be something like what the allocation/segregation is?

Section I-6 for me again I hope, good view, away from the riff raff in the North and screaming bairns in the East, and close to the cup presentation/car (delete as appropriate).

Would like to avoid talking about the game as hearts have a much better team than us and will prob win.

(boring ticket rant below ignore if you not into that kind of thing)

I cant believe the panic from both sets of fans about tickets. Both teams will get at least 22k.

Hearts have said they will allocate theirs using loyalty points. This seems completely fair.

Hibs look likely to give priority to season ticket holders(this year and next and members).

How anyone can complain about that I don't know.

For instance in hibs case they have advertised on 3 occasions the membership which gave

you a free ticket to a game and worked out free. If you got one of these you will for sure

get a ticket to the final.

Considering both teams have fans queuing up on their forums to say they wont go to a

single game next year if a Rangers new co gets ins.

In simple terms getting a season ticket for hibs/hearts next year would mean you would get a ticket.

This would be mean going to the games so wont go down well.

Another example of the twisted logic is that some hibs/hearts will miss out on a ticket thus pissing

them off and they wont go to games any more. The same fans who coincidently don't go to games.

Many hibs fans have already stated that due to the rubbish offers they wont be back next year anyway

also hearts fans the same with their dynamic pricing.

I wont be back next year and if I don't get a final ticket I wont be back double and if we lose I wont

be back triple.

I would say all we've got to lose more than Hibs is 3 songs about 1902. Thankfully I don't really know too many Hibees so if we lose I would manage to escape most of the ribbing we'd take, and after a cooling down period I'd (hopefully!) be man enough to congratulate them.

Same as the poster above I have Uni exams in the week before which will no doubt just be 2 hours to imagine Rudi smacking in a 90th minute winner from 30 yards. biggrin.gif

Hearts have won the cup twice in the last 15 years. If we lose it'll hurt but it won't be the end of the world.

There is far more pressure on Hibs, especially seeing as their fans seem to have to have developed a bit of bravado since the weekend, despite having a chronic football team that hasn't beaten us for 3 years.

Disclaimer: Long winded tickety rant reply.

Even as a non ST who is now scrambling, I completely agree that ST holders should be prioritised. My attitude at the start of the season (well not necessarily attitude as I couldn't afford to renew anyway) was that ticketing wouldn't be an issue this season and there wasn't much point in getting one. Many of those who did, probably did it to help the club's playing budget, which is a selfless attitude that should be rewarded.

Give them priority but I hope they're sensible with it. What we should really have is a loyalty system like Hearts. I may not have renewed this year but have bought ST's previously, kept supporting actively throughout the last few horrific seasons and went home and away throughout this competition.

With the innumeral amount of depressing moments I've encountered watching Hibs (often in away crowds of a few hundred people) the least you expect is that if a massive occasion does ever come around you'll get the opportunity to be there.

If that means queuing and all that fair enough, but if they give ST's a bundle each and some guy's dog-walker is there at their first game, I'll feel a bit hard done by.

Ps completey agree about all the moaners and hypocrites. Thousands of Hibs fans have disappeared in the last few years and they'll all be out in force wanting a ticket.

There's a bit more to it than that though.

Hearts have carved a dominance over years and the bragging rights has gone mainly one way. This is the biggest Edinburgh derby in any living persons life time and it will completely trump everything that's come before it. No matter the outcome, Hearts will still have a better record but any chat of that will be gleefully laughed off if mentioned.

Especially over the last few years the bragging rights has lost all perspective. The post Romanov era and the last 10 has left some Hearts fans seemingly unable to remember a Hibs win. Some people seem to actually think the Edinburgh derby stats are comparable to that of an old firm team or the genuinely one way fixtures like Real v Atletico. If Hearts win, that continues in awful, awful circumstances. If we win it's the biggest serving of humble pie ever.

More pressure on Hearts IMO.

But the fact we have a chronic football team that could still be relegated means we know we are utter shite whereas the Jambos are all on their high horses about how good their team is so we go into this final without great expectations, almost not expecting a win but at least a good fight.

For Hearts they should of course beat us comfortably so the pressure is on hearts. AKA Celtic style....

The bigger they are, the harder the fall.

I actually think there's more pressure on Hibs as a club.

Hibs as it stands will be lucky to sell anywhere near as many season tickets as they did last season, and if they lost the final could find themselves in serious financial trouble with an even worse team on the park next season as Petrie tightens the purse strings even further. Plenty Hibs fans I know already are not renewing for next season as it is, and with the loan signings unlikely to be kept on past the end of the season if the cash doesn't come in, it could get grim.

Don't get me wrong, Hearts fans are still not sure what kind of team we'll have out next season as we offload a lot of higher paid players from the wage bill too, but for us, just getting to the final is a financial shot in the arm and could also help to secure the likes of Sergio, Beattie, and Rudi for next season, and with Webster and Black already there, it's the spine of a decent team.

Have Hibs announced the arrangements for selling tickets yet? I was just wondering if they're doing the same as Hearts and guaranteeing a cup final ticket if a season ticket is purchased for next season.

I wish the game was tomorrow, mainly because I'm fed up of everyone moaning about tickets already.

A few posts on the Hearts facebook page:

So what is hearts Hampden allocation compared to number of season ticket holders? Surely they can allow season ticket holders at least 2 tickets each, last time we got 4 each so what's changed
when will tickets go on sale as am wanting to take my wee man & hubby ! so 3 tickets I need will all 3 off us have to go & get tickets ???!!!
The people that attend the semi final should also get some form of offer as I bet the season ticket holders that never showed up to the semi will want a final ticket!!

Plus somebody suggesting they deserve a ticket because they've booked a "not inexpensive" flight from Sydney to come over for the game.

Deary me.

How in the name of shitting Christ are they going to sort out trains to and from Edinburgh for this?

Have heard chat that hibs fans are to get the train from waverley to central and hearts fans from haymarket to queens street. Hearts fans will then have a police escort to central and the trains from central to mount florida will be segregated.

I suppose sadly it will make sense. There will be a few arseholes on both sides drinking on a empty head. Last thing either team needs is any trouble that the weegia can tug themselves over.
