Monday Night Raw Live

How long ago was it that RAW had that really amazing episode?  Seems like forever now.  Previous weeks were just a bit meh, but some really confusing choices made last night.  Giving away Rusev vs Reigns for free just 6 days before the PPV, putting the PTPs back together just to break them up again a few minutes later, giving away Balor's entrance...

Weird show with a lot of things that didn't seem to make a lot of sense.

It's probably been written loads of times but why is Rusev the bad guy in this feud with Roman Reigns? He's stuck up for his wife, he's made several very fair points about the United States Championship being Raw's top title (for now, at least) and why Reigns doesn't deserve a shot at it, while his opponent comes down to the ring smirking and making dreadful jokes (Lana as a mail-order bride? Hilrious!) and gets what he wants all the time. So the two fight at the end of the show for Lana's honour - what does that even mean? And Reigns wins, clean as a whistle, in the middle of the ring. What's the point in watching them fight at SummerSlam?

That was probably the worst part of the show but chuck in stuff like Anderson and Gallows firing stuff into a microwave, the terrible crowd, Mick Foley, Titus O'Neil turning heel (the guy's probably one of the purest babyfaces on the whole show!) and giving away the Demon King (which sounds far too similar to the Demon Kane) and it was juts a mess.

Hard to believe we're already at this stage after such an excellent show three weeks ago.

When Heath Slater is by far and away the best reason to tune in week to week, you know you're running thin on the ground.

Loving the one man rock band's work as of late though. There's a reason he's survived every single cull, he's fucking great at what he does.

Slater was class, and fair play to him. Brock Lesnar was excellent in that segment too, the "I don't give a shit about your kids" line was a cracker.

But aye, not a great show all in.

i was actually wondering why he was calling out the demon Kane for a bit until i remembered the promo from 2 weeks ago(?)

it really sounded like Demon Kane, although that could have been my ears.

Quite a few interesting designs for the Universal Championship. Favourite is the red and blue versions of the current WWE World Heavyweight Championship/WWE Championship (they can't seem to decide)

Spoiler

Here's hoping they do something similar for the SmackDown Women's championship

The current WWE championship is a total shiter and they should be leaning very far away from copying it.

I'd rather it actually looked prestigious instead of just sticking the company logo on it with a coloured background.

After this week's events I for one can't wait for Heath Slater to leave both Lesnar and Orton in a pool of blood for a no contest on Sunday night. The push is upon us!

Would love to see Slater get a similar Rumble moment to the one Santino got a couple of years back.

Here's hoping its a Mark Henry-esque double crossing by Bubba. Can't just leave D-Von messing up and costing them two matches in a row, especially with the look Bubba gave him last week on Raw
