Walking Down The Halbeath Road

He'll be gone. He is fed up here. Obviously loves the club etc etc, but think it's just been year after year of pure shit for him. Should be playing a ta better level than he is, certainly.
Worst part is it will be to a rival in this league if we stay up. Guaranteed

He’s already been found out in the top league with us and Motherwell. Championship is his level I’m afraid.

I think if Dom was consistent he could hold a place in a lower half Premier league team but he isn't so he's top end of Championship max atm so aye a fresh start in this division....Thistle...ICT...Dundee...I hate all those options :(

He should be playing for a club at the very top of Championship at least. He is better than relegation turd like us.

Queens Park seemingly....*

*Based on what I suspect is an attempted wind up from a friend, so almost certainly utter bollocks and he'll stay in the Championship, most likely at one the clubs already noted.

Notice how the club have done nothing to promote the game as anything significant. Just the usual links to match and ticket info, you wouldn't think this was a must-win final day of the season.

It's been said plenty times this season but the PR/social media side of things really has to improve next season.

It's the classic example of a game that should have been a fiver to get in. The play-off home games should definitely  be reduced admission to give us the maximum advantage for the return leg(s)

Interesting couple of tweets from Derek Rae (@Raecomm) who spoke to Meggle about their investment in the club. There’s a mention of McArthur being spat at and his car vandalised, contrasting to how Meggle and the other investors haven’t had any issues like that at all.

He also says relegation wouldn’t stop their involvement (don’t know if that was ever in doubt?) and the plan over 7-9 years is promotion to the Premiership. That seems like a right fucking laugh just now.

Even your club staff know McCall will do his old club a favour and you'll have to go to the play offs. Why hype up that fact?

I’m all for the investment in youth/facilities and building for a sustainable future. But there really has to be more focus/emphasis on the first team than there has been this season. Unless they improve that side of things, fans disappear, budgets are slashed, players won’t come here and the whole thing goes tits up. Yes, it’s important to plan long term, but it feels as if there’s nobody looking at the current product on the park.

Right now, we’re a team destined for third tier football, talking about our aims to play in the top flight. For that to happen, there needs to be a certain amount of emphasis placed on the first team and what’s happening on the park now. It feels like everything’s on hold until the training ground/academy have been set up.

Even in terms of marketing, there’s not much of a push to encourage fans to attend. Ticket sales seem to be going well for tomorrow, but that’s just through fans’ passion, rather than anything the club are doing well. I feel like ticket sales could be higher (and could have been all season) if they had just put in a bit of effort to encourage fans to turn up. It’s worth remembering that for a few days they offered a 3 match package for the end of the season at £15 per ticket. Then it seemed like they forgot to advertise that when they started pushing for sales for the derby, so removed that deal from the website and waited until after the Raith game to offer a 2 match ticket for £35, which wasn’t a great saving - particularly in comparison to the previous offer.

This really frustrates me. Falkirk have been the same for the last few years, talking about building a squad that can compete in the Premiership.. whilst struggling to stay in the top half of League One.

We should just be focusing on staying up and building a squad that will achieve what we can in the following year. Meggle's comments don't seem to be going down this road too much, so it's not a specific dig at him, but talking about Premiership football whilst being a bawhair from the third tier isn't great.
