Charlie Adam's nowhere near good enough. That being said, neither is Shelvey. He's a Championship player. I do think Rodgers was right to flog Fat Charlie, but Shelvey's no better and I'm surprised anyone thinks he is. Liverpool need a central midfielder desperately. Dalglish Oh wait, erm Yep, Lolverpool, sure to be shit for some time if they give the passenger Gerrard another contract. Combine that with Shelvey, Henderson, Allen and Sturridge and you've got yourself a nice shit sandwich. Allen and Sturridge are a class above the other two you mention. Admittedly that's saying very little, but given what Liverpool are - a mid-table side presumably trying to cut back on spending - you could have picked better targets. Sturridge, too, I've already said he'll do a decent job there but he's a mid table player at best with glaring deficiencies in many parts of his game. Their centre halves - Agger and Skrtel - not Carragher - and Suarez are the only players who are better than mid table.
