Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 there saying independence looks 'more likely than ever' then he says the polls are neck and neck.

What is he blabbering on about?

Jeremy knows the score.

AN independent Scotland’s membership of the European Union would be secured within the SNP’s 18-month timescale, a former president of the European Parliament has said.

But you would need to take the Euro, by which point £1 = 1

You said it was a put down to compare Scotland to a region of England after I compared it to Yorkshire.

An area of the UK that used to have it's own monachy, army and has a population almost Identical to Scotland, and has a distinct diffence in it's genetic makeup when compared to the south east of England.

Comparing Yorkshire and Scotland is fair and if you think that's a put down, then thats because you feel superior somehow.

Thats nationalism for you.

Im not British, Im euopean and want to fight Nationalists like Alex Salmond and Nigel Farage. A no vote effectly gives Devo Max now anyway, so voting Yes is pure Nationalistic bravado, all the risk with no extra potenial gains, if indeed they are gains.

Have a simultaneous +1 for your stand against the beast that is nationalism and -1 for the devo max comment.

What he's saying is correct. It does look more likely than ever because the polls are neck and neck. No had a huge lead in the polls even 6 weeks ago.

A 'No' vote gives a timetable (maybe) for debates about an undefined white paper on Devo Plus. Hardly the same thing at all.

And even if Devo Max (whatever that turns out to be) were to be generously bestowed upon us by Westminster do you honestly believe that would be the equivalent of actual Independence. Do you think the Scottish government would be given control of all the levers of power? You're either kidding yourself or trying to kid someone else. You think we'd be allowed to compete with Ireland on corporation tax rates (and thereby compete with London)? What about Trident - could we tell Westminster to take it away and, incidentally, we're not paying for it? Devo Max is an administrative exercise; for actual sovereignty we need Independence.

Salmod is backtraking on Trident probably after the Estonian security officer was abducted in Estonia by a Russian armed convoy.

We are already entering a new cold war at best and WW3 at worse. The Wales NATO summet has said NATO memebrship is 2% GDP minium now, so Scotland will need to share the Armed forces.

So independent in name only it seems after all.

Better Together? Hard to believe that when you look at the 'disproportionate' defence cuts made in Scotland since the Tories came to power in 2010:

Shut down (or shutting down)

RAF Kinloss

Rescue Coordination Centre at Kinloss

RAF Leuchars

45 Commando

Royal Navy Search & Rescue at Prestwick, HMS Gannet

Dreghorn Barracks

Redford Barracks

Craigiehall Barracks

Clyde Coastguard

Forth Coastguard

In summary they shut down Scotland
