Mr. Bojangles
Even Andrew Neil saying it's a love-in, that's how bad it was. Yeah, he made the same point as me about the Harman v Hague bit sounding like a school play.
Casual Bystander
Of course, only 0.6% of the members of parliament support Scottish independence, while round about 50% of the Scottish people do - and people wonder why we feel unrepresented? Casual Bystander
Oh, and a very pro indy stance in the record today: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/joan-mcalpine-real-power-within-4192313 The Record really is a fucking shambles of a paper. It's been bitching for absolute months about independence.
ayrmad
Getting a whole load of wavering here in work. Bunch of bottle merchants voting no because of fears over mortgage rates and savings. These people have done virtually f**k all research and are saying that it's a purely selfish vote because they're fine and don't give a shite about anyone else. Look, we've accused NO of sticking their heads in the sand, if you honestly thought everyone would vote for more than their own wallets(some will some won't) then you've stuck your head in the sand as well, YES have 10 minutes to hold on and the other side are bringing on Messi and Ronaldo, thsi was always going to be the case, we have the choice of standing together and throwing ourselves in front of every ball or we can push 4 up front and look for a 2 goal advantage, I'll take everyone behind the ball all day long. Ludo*1
Genuinely stunned at them PMQ's. If any undecided voter watched it, I can't imagine how it could have possibly swung them to a No vote or strengthened a No voters No vote.

They are already HQ'd down south, and the north sea oil isn't going anywhere so it's reasonable to suggest that BP won't be either.

vikingTON
Boaking at that parade of Eton-educated horse fiddlers pretending to love Scotland within the UK, because grandmama was born in Aberdeen don't you know. Fortunately they then gave the floor to a MISSUS BUNFIELD type to remind us all what the typically engaged Unionist looks like. While denigrating and sidelining a 'nationalist' movement which won an overwhelming landslide at the last Scottish election and currently is vying for a majority of the Scottish vote. That's Westminster approach to Scotland, folks.
forever_blue
He was saying there was similar interest in voting. It's very rare you get a people to willingly engage in politics to this degree. He wasn't comparing the situations, just the level of interest. aye but come on, a bunch of scots actually getting of their arse and excercising the democratic right they have always had and enjoyed and actually voting is in no way comparable to a large section of a population who were denied that oppurtunity along with suffering terribly through apartheaid, oppression and violence being given their first oppurtunity to vote. its a pish comparison from mr salmond to be honest

I don't need any of this pointed out to me. Having 100% belief in my convictions doesn't stop me from being disappointed in people I should respect. the fact that their vote will be placed semi blind just makes me respect them a bit less. I've put work into this and feel let down. This will not alter my resolve though.
Confidemus
I'm hearing from someone in Rutherglen who's at the visit of Prescott & Darling that they bussed a load of No supporters in, then Prescott got blocked in a shop by a load of Yes supporters and Darling had to be escorted to a taxi to leave!
