The All New Occasionally Aussie P+B Quiz League and ☕ Occasional Cup ☕

Recommended Posts

Okay, before I post the league tables - here is the cup! Two rounds of 10 questions ... PM me your answers before Thursday lunchtime and we can award the trophy on Friday in advance of a new cup month. Anyone not  in the final feel free to post me your answers if you fancy having a shot, but otherwise don't post your answers (even in spoilers since they don't work half the time).

For the specialist subject questions, I've gone for Harry Potter (we've had the Scottish Enlightenment before), Prison Break (don't think we've ever had a question on that) and the snooker.

8. From which train station would you catch the train to Hogwarts from Platform 9 3/4?

9. In the modern era (i.e. after 1969), who was the first player from outside the UK to win the Snooker World Championship?

10. The actor who played the role of Michael Scofield in Prisoner Break shares his first name with the name of a prison used in another TV show. Which TV show?

Second Half

11. In 2012, swimmer Michael Phelps set a new record of 159 feet for the longest successful putt recorded on television; whose 31-year-old record did he beat?

13. Which is the only country in Central America that does not have a Pacific coastline?

And here's the league tables... a few results still to come in. Let me know if I've missed you out!

In the Premiership, Alang1993 is stamping his authoritah, with a near perfect 19/20. Couple of teams yet to post (and if they don't they're relegated!)
