8 to start the week. Knew 7, guessed the ballet.

9/10 for Monday. Knew 8. Guessed TV character correctly but alas flag bearer let me down for the full house.

It's 07:27 and all scores have been submitted for the weekend playoff question.

How many step does an average person take in a lifetime?

@NJ2  Hello again Mr Slipery. For this weeks playoff I’ll guess 100,375,000. 365 days x 55 years x 5,000 steps. Makes sense to me.

v

@Ross. Scientific reasoning. I average 7500 steps a day, but as I come from Clydebank I will live to 64 odds. I go for 7500 x 365 x 64 which comes to 175200000 steps.

@The Captain

Number of steps per lifetime

8000 steps x 365 days x 80 years = 233,600,000.

The Captain never set the maths class alight with his brilliance.

Educated guess.

@Cardinal Richelieu

All I've got to go on is that I once heard the average housewife walked 8 miles a day = 12800 steps. Lets's reduce it to 10000 steps to account for the lazy c***s (and disregard the c***s who go further). Let's call it 60 years, discounting the early and stages where not much stepping is done.

So 60 * 365 * 10000 = 219 million steps.

Nice question btw!

The correct answer is, 216,262,500 (5 times round the world)https://snowbrains.com/brain-post-how-far-does-the-average-human-walk-in-a-lifetime/

Congratulation to  @Ross. & @Cardinal Richelieu

PS. The Proclaimers famous song 500 miles, is f**k all.  You can mention this the next time you hear it while sitting with your loving partners.
