Speaking of Sky, my channel 102 is BBC2 Wales - at least it was the last time I checked. Most of the time this doesn't matter as the programmes are the same as BBC2 Scotland, but it's irritating. Anybody know how I can fix this?

Dont Hug Me I'm Scared has finally made it's transition from Web series to Channel 4.
Watched all 6 episodes on All4 and like the original, it lives rent free in my head. Was worried how it would translate from 8-12 minute web episodes to a 23 minute format but it works perfectly.
An amazing mixture of creepy, funny, surrealism and wonderful voice acting. It's not for everyone but I just love it!
If you've never seen it, go do the 6 web episodes first. You don't really need to but you'll fully understand a lot of the easter eggs in it if you do.

I saw this advertised and just assumed it was the web shorts had migrated to All 4. I was delighted when I found out it was all new material. I watched the first 2 last night, looking forward to getting through the rest over the weekend. It'll take a few watches to see what the overarching theme is, but the beauty of it is that you notice something new every time you rewatch.

Then you won't be disappointed on that front. There's the usual 'what does it really mean' questions and little hidden comments and visuals. I've gone back twice already.

The second episode, Death, had what I thought was some of the most weirdly unsettling voice acting I've heard, there's something just too on the nose and sweet but sinister about the coffin's voice.

It let's you set your preferred regions in settings somewhere.

Move to Wales. Then your BBC2 and locale will sync nicely.

Watching a show on channel 5 called "when classic comedy goes horribly wrong". 

One part is about Peter Kay on the Alan Carr show. Kay falls off his seat causing much hilarity. The show then shows tweets about this scene from the time. One asks "Is he pissed?" and the tweeter is identified as @Bigmouth Strikes Again.

the American/French one with Gabriel Byrne, it was awful.  I stopped after 2, still no aliens by 3/4 episodes?  There was so much wrong with it hard to know where to begin.

Yeah, it was like they wanted to make an entirely different show, then someone came up with the wheeze of slapping the War of the Worlds name on because it's public domain and free.

I read that it got a second season and has something of a fan base, with a third season only being delayed due to COVID. f**k me, I just checked and the third season is being broadcast now!

Small Plot spoiler ahead:

Im surprised it got a 2nd let alone a 3rd. It was so bland and for that type of story where your basically following a group of survivors you need to be invested in the characters at least a bit. The actress from downton abby, it was like she was playing the same role. Exactly the same acting as in Downton. Byrne was terrible. It was weird how things progressed. Like when Byrne finds out some crucial info and goes to his exwife who hes been stalking , meets her new man throws him down the stairs kills him, he seems to just take it in his stride like its no big deal , then hes hiding the body and Byrne and exwife go off.  It all seemed slightly off like whole scenes were missing or they just couldnt be bothered
