They brought in jury voting to stop tactical voting. This is more fucking rigged than the popular vote only was.

Apparently they've held discussions with Switzerland over possible venues already.

Hopefully the public vote changes things.

All these "we love peace" speeches. If you mean Israel, say it. If not, don't be shitebags.

I'm guessing that the EBU have their families locked up in a secure location until after they've delivered their piece.

The juries are made up of people who actually write songs for Eurovision - it nepotism and corruption rife.

Yeah, until tonight everyone's been saying that the combi vote was so much better than the old days, and I'm inclined to agree. It certainly makes for a far more interesting countdown.

Switzerland's universal popularity with the judges is just bizarre though. Would genuinely love to hear their reasoning.

I genuinely think they should abolish juries.

No because, for example, UK would give points only to Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Ireland etc.

What's the theoretical maximum that a country can get on the popular vote?

Asking for an Israel.

Thought Serbia and Croatia hated each other?

Yeah this has always confused me. I'm sure Greece and Turkey used to always give each other 12 points back in the day.
