Old Diamond
Who's in charge of getting a sponsor for this? Heard that the SPFL have contacted Total Oil and Gas, clothing firm French Connection UK and United Parcels Service to jointly sponsor the tournament under the banner Total FCUK UPS Cup. Rangers are then bound to win it!!!
craigkillie
New sponsors are Petrofac Training Services.
Apache Don
That's a strange name but okay, I await further news from Mr Afternoon. 'Announcement this afternoon' or 'D ichi k'anto achi' is a dirty lying Comanche 'scout' dog and not to be trusted. HTH

Marshmallo
The North section looks much, much weaker. Can we regionalise this all the way to the final?

an86
Hearts, Hibs or Spartans away. I bet it's Airdrie at Broomfield. The most depressing start possible.
Ivo den Bieman
at last, some news of the draw- thanks to those who provided info. wouldn't mind a wee trip to Brora and make a weekend of it but doubt that will happen. In that case, a winnable home tie to get the season off to a good start would do me- don't care who it is.
BigRubberFist
The Petrofac Cup hardly trips off the tongue - that's one gigantic glottal stop. Well done to any company prepared to invest in Scottish football, however.

Well done to any company prepared to invest in Scottish football, however. It's actually The Petrofac Training Cup which makes the tournament sound much diddier than it already is. HibeeJibee
The Petrofac Training Cup will do little for the reputation of the tournament but that's by-the-by. Who is this Petrofac anyway, are they a big firm? Likely to be paying much? Good to see the SPFL divided the regions as I'd suggested.

Should probably make you aware that we're playing at Airdrie until January. Might change your opinion of a "good away trip."
