Aberdeen21
Anybody else see the article on the Evening Express about Simon Church. It has a series of pictures of him at training and there's an unknown player also training. Looks like a trialist. Potentially a free agent central midfielder?

Alex_14
Its Joe Nuttall, signed him from Man city a while ago. Great banter from a great new account. The correct answer is Harlain Mbayo. He's an under 20 player believe it or not. http://www.afc.co.uk/news/7088.php ETA: he's actually 17 Edited February 2, 2016 by Alex_14
glasgow-sheep
Even if we couldn't get Tansey, we should have had a back-up in place. It was obvious we needed another midfielder yet we still decided to put all our eggs in one basket and hope the Tansey deal would go through. We should have had someone else lined up. Do you not get the feeling, given the last minute nature of it, that it was Tansey that was the back up?
lubo_blaha
Do you not get the feeling, given the last minute nature of it, that it was Tansey that was the back up? We should have a list of targets and if one isn't possible, we move down to the next one. We seemed to be in for Cowie but dropped out interest to go after Tansey. While we're in negotiations with Caley, Hearts sign Cowie and we end up with neither. We should have someone else lined up for if this fell through.
Dubford don
Do you not get the feeling, given the last minute nature of it, that it was Tansey that was the back up?i think bannigan was first choice .the fact that Partick insisted he was staying allied to the injuries to jack and flood triggered the Tansey bid.cant believe we let Quinn go without a replacement coming in either, couple of defensive injuries or suspensions and we are toiling.

jmothecat
Amongst the more interesting injuries a footballer has had. Not quite 'an egg exploded on my face' level though.

underdogunderdog underdog
I'm guessing that Boyata and Sviatchenko will start at centre back. Need to take advantage of that as they've only played 75 mins together as far as I'm aware. Boyata is just back from injury and Sviatchenko hasn't played much recently because Danish season ended a while back.
Srevart Treb
First time I have properly seen Storie. Pretty impressed, certainly not scared to make a tackle. Hopefully he can push on and force his way into the team even when everyone is fit. I had high hopes for Cammy Smith but cant see it happening for him, hopefully same does not happen with Storie.
Alex_14
One of you guys had Hayes 2-1 on didn't you?! b*****d! Superb performance, really impressed. Did not expect Storie to perform that well. He was a bit disappointing in the first 15 minutes but once he settled down he absolutely bossed Brown. Jack will struggle to get back into the team at this rate.
