Mackiemyday
Could be a decent move for us but also a risky one, fitness seemed to be his major issues last year and he has just missed the majority of our (all be it short) pre season. Need to get May off the wage bill now.
Rodhull
Paul Coutts signed for Fleetwood so that’s that option gone.

But Hedges is an unknown, Mclennan is still young and I'm unsure if Cosgrove can repeat his goalscoring of last season. Mcginn is always a good option but Main has question marks over him. I doubt we'll see much of Wright, Gleeson or Stevie May (sorry Russell).

I doubt we'll see much of Wright, Gleeson or Stevie May (sorry Russell).I’m coming to terms with the loss of my hardworking hairy prince. Should he go, he’ll go with my blessing. When Wilson spends the first half of the season ambling about the top end of the park I’m sure I’ll come on here and wax lyrical about how we miss his energy and about how he never got a proper chance (“7 goals in 61, how can you judge a player over such a short period of time???” I’ll say, wrongly). More importantly though, what squad number will Wilson wear? 9 has been taken by Main...

G-MAN
“No offers for McGeouch say Sunderland, but Sun FM understand Scottish Premier side Aberdeen are still in the hunt for the midfielder...”. Also, the Sunderland Echo has “Previous reports had suggested that the Dons were keen to secure McGeouch without paying a fee, despite him remaining under contract until next summer” “The club are doing all they can to provide me with the budget to go and do that.”

akredz
That's a good bit of news. Asking for McGeouch now almost seems like being greedy.

naegoodinthedark
Can’t work out if everyone here is at the wind up saying Wilson is a great signing? We’ve cornered the market in strikers who don’t score goals.

tarapoa
Heard so many conflicting reports on McGeoughMe too - heard earlier that Sunderland were keener than the player to make it happen. Then that there was a fair chance it would.Latest is it isn’t happening, but we have bid money for a midfielder currently based in England.

We’ve cornered the market in strikers who don’t score goals. People tend to forget that if he was prolific/ the finished article he'd still be at Man Utd. He's 23 (which myself included tend to forget)with his best years in front of him, has undoubted talent that if can be harnessed will no doubt benefit our squad. What's not to like?
